current client version is low

I just downloaded Perfect World - Genesis today, after removing PWI for time reasons in January. I spent hours downloading, installing, and patching. I am at game update 512, and at the login screen it says ver 1.4.4 Build 2305. When I try to log in, however, I get the error: "Your current client program version is low. Please exit and update." When I exit and start the launcher, it says it's up-to-date. What am I supposed to do? I've been looking forward to playing all day and now I just want to give up on it. Please help....

    Hit the Verify button. It'll make the client double check all the files you have and make the client display the correct Patch Number. You should be able to update correctly from there.
