Nix Flesh Ream Glitch

I'm sure it's been discussed, but can someone explain this glitch to me?

When I use my nix's flesh ream in PVP, right after using it, the nix resets and stops attacking. Can I avoid that? xD

Also, I've found that the slight downward angle the nix attacks at is pretty aggravating when fighting on the ground. How do you get around this? I find myself jumping around like an idiot to get the nix higher in the air before it can attack..

Just wondering.

    I don't have flesh ream on my nix (and don't PVP, except for the one PVP TW my faction was in, the week after map reset, so I find bash more useful on the nix), so I can't address that point.

    As for the nix (or any other air pet) getting stuck on the ground, there's a few things you can do... watch the terrain and send the pet when you're on a local high spot, move up to where it got stuck and recall/resend it from there, attack the mob yourself to pull it to where the pet can reach it, fly so the pet is always attacking from above.

    The glitch is that flesh ream (on any pet) does not get a damage reduction like every other attack/skill.

    Flesh Ream is a ranged attack but normal attacks aren't. If your nix is resetting (going immune glowy yellow orb mode), it means its getting stuck in the terrain somehow. This sometimes even happens in the air.

    Blame bad AI/path coding.

    there is a damage reduction on fleshream, but its only a 25% reduction, as opposed to everything else which gets a 75% reduction

    May I ask what you use instead of Flesh Ream? Cause I recently got my nix, and didnt putt any 4th skill on it yet. Been reading here and they all talk about adding F.R. so that makes me curious :p Im not that certain about that skill cause of the longer Cooldown.

    May I ask what you use instead of Flesh Ream? Cause I recently got my nix, and didnt putt any 4th skill on it yet. Been reading here and they all talk about adding F.R. so that makes me curious :p Im not that certain about that skill cause of the longer Cooldown.


    I put Bash on my nix. If I PVPed (or even dueled on a regular basis) I'd put Flesh Ream in its place, but since the primary use for the nix is grinding, Bash seemed a better choice to me.

    You could fly around all the time, but I find that troublesome. Once you get the hang of jumping for the nix it's not too bad. =) I usually do that for mine on the charge. I generally run at what I want to attack and jump once or twice while pressing the command to attack.

    there is a new problem with nyx lately ...i didnt play veno long time but i went to help some friend in tw and i notice that even skill was on auto..nyx just stop in front of target and do...nothing..no bleed no hit no nothing..i had to re summon few times and change auto on others skills to make bleed work again...very annoying and i can tell you for sure is new thing and that nyx wasn't stuck ...happens with flying targets alsob:bye

    Yeah that bug has been there forever, when u enter TW you have to resummon your nix or it wont do shetb:bye

    So its only in TW, since I am not expieriencing this situation outside.

    If I had a Nix for PVE only, I'd put reflect on it. Or... Maybe remove pounce, and put strong and bless on.
