Cleric: Main healer, choose Cleric if you like supporting your squads. They are also very good DDs (I can 2-3 hit kill normal mobs at my lvl), so questing at low lvls is fairly easy. You should concentrate on healing when you're in squads, though.

Mystic: Damage dealer, secondary healer. Choose Mystic if you like to help your squads in tough situations but you prefer DDing.

Mysticarella - Lost City

Mystics are more versatiles. You can pretty much solo a lot more then cleric. When in squad you can DD, Debuff, Heal, buff. Mystics are the Cleric's best friend in a squad. I started a Cleric that I lvled to 40 but I find very boring, so I quit. But I'm loving to play as mistic, you get a little of everything.

Both classes are good and have their ups and downs. Mystics are literally a cross between a Veno and a Cleric in terms of skills. The main advantage Mystics have are all of the summons they have and Befuddling Creeper is just amazing on bosses. Clerics though have squad buffs that pretty much everyone wants and the heals that very much over power the Mystics.

With both classes you can have a very good balance of support/DD in terms of instances and such once you learn the ropes. Both are fun to play and really depends on your play style.

I still think I love my Cleric's more even though my Mystic is a lot of fun to play. b:chuckle

My recommendation would really be to try them both out. Early on in levels both are so-so to play in my opinion, but later on 50-60x + both really start to shine and take on their individual class "personalities." Before then, both can seem a bore to some, "too hard" or maybe even too demanding (more so the Cleric).

I think my mystic is more fun to play, but overall you'd have an easier time finding squads as a cleric. A mystic CAN replace a cleric for a lot of things (even FF!) but most squads aren't down with that. lol
Mystics are also pretty great DDs on ? bosses/mobs, between their debuffs and the damage storm and cragg can do. As a cleric, you won't have a whole lot of room to DD in a squad unless there's another cleric there, or you're at a level where you feel comfortable only IHing the tank a few times (usually 90+) whereas a mystic can always DD... even when they're being the cleric of the squad. lol

As for playing alone... clerics are actually probably a little bit better when it comes to soloing bosses. The summons aren't great tanks (although storm can tank just about every boss in FF due to their ranged magic attack) and you don't have a reliable stackable heal. However, I would say mystics are superior when it comes to quests/grinding, because you can basically kill two mobs at once (pet on one, you on the other.)

Both are pretty fun, but I ultimately prefer DDing over healing so I'm mostly focusing on my mystic.
