Cube question about the PK rooms

I just got back to this game and re learning everything since it been a long time I've played this game. So I'm having fun with the wonders of cube but just need to know one thing.

In the rooms where you have to wait for 3 minutes(I think that how long) I know it PK enable so do I have to use the safety lock to prevent my gears from dropping? My stuff isn't all that rare or special.

The first few times I did it I got alot of whispers from cool people that didn't want to pk in that room even though I'm no threat to them and they could drop me in 1 or 2 hits and I'm just there to do the daily myself with no reason to pk.

Just wondering if using the safety lock would be best since not everyone understanding and I know some people like to pk in cube not that complaing, I just don't want to lose anything from my character.

    No you dont drop items. Although killing ppl in the PK rooms are fun at times

    Generally,
    you can only drop equipped stuff when red/pink named

    stuff in your inventory may drop tho..

    You can't drop in the cube.
