5k per day quest item

Ok, so this is my own fault, cos I hadn't read the explanation properly, but having been to Jolly Old Jones to get the 5k exp scroll on my (only) level 90+ char, I clicked on it and got the 5k exp. Somehow I got the impression I could only click again after 24 hrs was up. So I waited, and waited, until I realized the scroll had disappeared from my inventory. I went back to the npc, and there was no option for me to get another.

I now understand it starts again at reset, and 24 hours later I think it must have disappeared as I didn't use it. But you get an option to buy the Divine Order of the Light from General Summer in case you misplace it, so why not the same with this? Does anyone know if this is a temporary glitch? Or am I never going to be able to pass it on to my mystic when she hits 40?
