Hey Kz :3

So, my personal reason for going sage on my archer ?

Well there are quite a few reasons :

The main reason is the sage spark. The amazing add of 25% reduced damage taken for 15 seconds changes a lot of things. And I want my archer to become a tank in future so definitely sage is the way to go for this one. Really simple example - tanked Krimson thanks to sage spark.

The Chi skill. Extremely useful for me to gain half of a spark every one minute. And daaamn I love to spark often b:chuckle

Sage Take Aim. Increases the damage added by 500%. Grinding, here I come.

Sage Blazing Arrow. Who wouldn't love more added damage ? Haven't really heard from anyone how much is the damage increase neither can test it myself at the moment, though I have the book, because I don't have the coins. Soon will come back with info about that as well.

Sage STA. 20 % reduced HP ? Holy ****, possibly if sparked + crit I might kill something with STA only lol.

Sage Lightning Strike. 25% chance to gain additional chi. More Chi = More sparks.

Sage Thunder Shock. Instead of 15 seconds now I have 25 seconds metal reduction. Just cast it on boss and let the clerics have fun b:chuckle

Sage Winged Blessing. 2 meters bonus. Bigger range = more damage on the incoming mob or being out of the AoE area of some bosses. Sounds good to me.

Sage Aim Low. 25% chance to seal the enemy. Not only freezed but also unable to do anything. Sounds good <3

Sage Stun Arrow. Longer stun = lower chance of being hit. More than welcome. And Stun arrow is also one of my main skill ( maybe the mainest lol ).

Sage Barrage of Arrows. 33% reduced damage taken. I think I`m becoming bulletproof. Also, the skill will work great when zhenning bosses ( like the last FB59 I did x.x )

Sage Bow Mastery. 90% added damage. Aggro is aaaaaall mine b:cute

Sage Wingspan. Chance to gain chi. I think I already mentioned what Chi equals to ? b:chuckle

Well those reasons seemed to be better than the demon's one so I went sage. The main one of course remains sage spark and trust me it makes miracles!

To all the members who can't get the point of that topic - I received a question why I went sage on CORE, but of course there's a char limit so I decided to make a thread and just link it instead of writing a new comment for each and every new skill. b:surrender

But of course Wizz, plan what you`re going to use your archer for. Don't go sage or demon because someone went there. Decide what is your gameplay, check out the sage and demon skills and decide which way fits you better. Good luck with the choice and don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. You can also hit me up in-game ( since we`re playing on the same server ) if you want to see a sage archer in action.

    I`m not randomly changing my mind about fists :P I was crazy about bow archers but then I realised that the bow archers don't really have any future especially in PvE. So fists = bigger APS = more sparks. More sage sparks = better tanking :)

    Did not expect you to make a whole thread out of this, but you're awesome. I've never really considered going sage, but I'm definitely considering it now, since I end up tanking most of my BH's and FB's since the tanks I go with can never seem to hold aggro against me b:thanks

    Oh and the demon/sage sparks could go both ways for tanking... if you understand what i mean. xD
    25% reduction is great when you have a good cleric, but demon spark is great when you're tanking and it's a close call with your hp, so you hit the spark button, become invincible for 3 secs and recover 20%(?) of your hp, plus more interval to (hopefully) kill the boss faster. But I do like the reduction. I wish there was a neutral path just for archers, who got tanking on one path and interval on the other, where it would be the best of both worlds. A tanking DDer! b:chuckle

    The sage spark also recovers 20% hp and purifies you b:chuckle
    But I still prefer the sage spark in front of demon b:dirty

    Demon is more pvp based, and demon spark for 5.0 farming pve. Just go demon lol.

    I'm sorry. My archer can't hear you over tanking her own **** ause I can't be arsed to nerf myself against stuff I can handle just fine.

    And sage or demon...
    it's all personal preference what you want to do with your char
    I would respect any sage or demon who picked their path based on their own reasoning and what they want to do rather than based on what is popular to do.

    But i wouldn't go sage if you payed me, can't imagine myself as anything but a demon archer D:

    Pking is a lot more challenging than facerolling my keyboard in FCC for 3 hours a day though.

    Uhh o.o I FCC'd only when close to leveling or when Xar asked me to.

    Once my gear's better on Veno I'll be PK mode full time. ^^
