Is polearm good for pvp?

I have tried all weapons for bm and the skills with it exept the polearm, but before i make it, i need to know if they are good for pvp. Can anybody plz give me a few strengths and weaknesses of polearm and a really good build for pvp with it? Thx XDb:laugh

They actually really are good in PvP.

Level 10/11 Farstrike his like a truck at 150mph.

Meteor Rush also has good damage and demon rush can stun, and a pvp bm is mainly stun and auto attack. Also can push back mobs in PvE.

Glacial Spike is OP for both PvE and PvP. Getting 50% debuffs plus at demon they give 100% crit rate and is able to glitch the buff.


So yah, Farstrike and Meteor Rush can 1 or 2 shot most AA with or without a zerk pole.

And do not level up Piercing Winds, that skill is rather useless.

Its an accessory path, not really meant for start to end pvp battles. Arch is right that Farstrike is enough to range 1 shot many arcane classes. Not so much endgame, but useful when they're 3/4 dead and try to kite till their charm ticks and you pick them off. I agree Piercing Winds is useless but I'd add Meteor Rush. A 33% chance to stun for 5 seconds isn't worth it when you have 7.5 second axe stuns, and 100% chance to stun for 6 second aoe stuns.

Glacial Spike is awesome when it procs, but in pvp its not worth the 2 sparks unless it does proc. Better to manage your chi and save for stuns/leaps/emergency heals. Channel cancel it and save your sparks then switch to another weapon.

Unfortunately I don't consider poles to have enough raw damage output to be useful in pvp really. They're good for a few skills but too slow for multiple skills. That's why I think they're a good accessory path for pvp but not your main weapon of choice.

but think of this... there are very few pole bm's out there.. they will never see it coming

but think of this... there might be a reason for the lack of pole bm's out there.
