Heard if u lose ur land u lose ur Base?

We were told that if u have a base n lose land or TW u lose ur base is this true?

If this is true thats so messed up all that money gone a base is not worth that!

    Not true.

    My fac lost 2 TWs this weekend, and one land.
    Our base is still there.

    i think she means if you lose completely your land, not only one of them.
    but i doubt that even then you lose your base.
    retired 11/11/2009 cause of packs. came back 8 months later just to realise it got worse. retired second time 10/11/2010.

    How's that work then since you can acquire a base without owning any land in the first place ?
