Level 100 weapon...

I'll probably be flamed/ get alot of sarcastic responses to this, but I have a serious question:

My wizard is currently level 72, so I have a bit of time to plan for later levels. What I'm wondering is, would any of the level 100+ wizards consider the Sinrabansho magic sword to be a worthwhile weapon to set a goal for? The main reason I'm asking is because I currently have all four souledges required to make the weapon, and the subs won't pose too much of a problem for me. I realize that most of the responses I'll get will be to go for Rank 8 and/or Rank 9 gear, but I'm not sure yet if that's what I'm going to do.

The Sinrabansho itself is a nice choice if you put R8 and R9 apart... The few of these swords I've seen on my server were wielded by wizzies. But thb, even if you have the souledges, the red mat is gonna cost you too much to be preferable over R8 and R9.
To me, you'd be better off reselling the souledges and go for R8. It's gonna be cheaper, better, and it comes with a very nice top and ring. And if you really are rich enough, go for R9. Wizzies with R9 are very scary. Well, any class is, with R9, but it's better with wizzies

That's what I was thinking (the bit about the Twilight Scepter being too expensive compared to R8). I don't know exact costs of any of the endgame gear, but from what I've heard(read?) Rank 8 is relatively inexpensive as compared to the likes of R9, Nirvana, etc. And given that, I may try to get, at the very least, the R8 ring and weapon.

And in light of this, would someone point me in the direction of a thread listing cost and such of the Rank 8 set?

Rank 8 is roughly equal to it, but comes with a good ring and channeling chest

It IS a great weapon though, and it only takes a single step to go to G15 nirvana. However the gold mat costs alot, you'll need a pritty big number of tokens of best luck to make it (or hope for a drop, not likely XD)

It's generaly easier to get rank8, 72 gold in rap from 0 to 200k on sale, and 2mil weapon, 1 mil top (the pants are not worth it, better sitck with TT90 green)

Sinrashinbo might be good if you're planning on account stashing it with other characters. Other than that, R8 is cheaper/easier to obtain.

Okay, I had thought R8 was MUCH more expensive than that (talking about the coin cost for gear, not rep). I suppose I'll definately be going for R8 instead of the Sinrabansho, as to make the TT100 mat would take 60 Perfect Tokens of Best Luck. At 5M each on Sanc, it would take, what, 300M coin just for that mat? lmao I just definately made my decision. lol
