You really need to slow down on the sales.

As the title says, this is getting ridiculous.

Obviously PWI is a company, and as a company there has to be profit and a decent amount of income. But as a game, you need both the people who invest real money AND the people who don't. People invest money to be better than the ones who don't, thats true, but the only way they invest more is if the people who don't arent THAT far behind from them either that they will still pose a semi-decent challenge.

Do not take me wrong, I do invest real money in here (not on this account), and I did enjoy some sales and they are great for everyone, but... Not when they are EVERY single damn week, making gold price raise to over 1mil.

This is reaching the point of being ridiculous, and soon it will go same path as PW-MY with gold at 1.8mil and people not affording to play at all.

Less people -> Less fun -> Less money.

You really need to reconsider your marketing strategies and give these huge OP sales a few months or at least weeks rest.

Get some new fashion, make some contests, some in game events, promote things that will bring more people and provide more fun, instead of things that do the opposite.

Just my 2 cents.

They will figure it out eventually. When their servers are empty and they wonder where everyone went.

In the meantime, just enjoy the game.

The real issue is everyone knows the crazy sales are coming and doesn't waste their gold during the non-sales. Merchants with their billions of coins buy up any gold there is in the meanwhile which keeps the price high even when there is nothing to buy at that moment.

This makes the only affordable things the stuff that is on sale. Everything else is unbuyable. What they should do is just make any sale permanent and concentrate instead on bringing in new content into the cash shop.

    >.> on a serious note, there has been alot of sales lately, but i think sales are a necessity because if i do recall recently, when there was a period where packs were'nt on sale, tokens raised their prices to almost 20k each which made bhwines expensive, and not to mention yuanxio, hypers and everthing else you could trade in @1kb:surrender

When gold was as low as 100k, there were no packs and tokens. People lived fine without them. This is where PWE grabs the players by the throat, we are put under illusions that we can only have cheap gold or cheap tokens, because PWE knows players have been spoiled so much that tokens seem like necessity.

You know gold prices will stay high...just wait until next "price hike", following the first pack sales and the first rep sale. Perhaps something that will set a 1.5mil per gold benchmark?

10 gold says that the gold price hike is due more to coin inflation across all the servers than it is due to pack sales (although those obviously have an effect). Unfortunately, PWI hasn't found an adequate coin sink just yet, although I'm sure that was one of the intended functions of faction bases.

The major issue isn't the amount of sales, rather how big they are. It used to be that when there was a sale, the items were 20-25% off on average. On a special holliday or whatever maybe even 33% off.

Now it's a minimum of 33% off, with 50% and 66% off being very common.

Being that there was no good sales for 3 consecutive weeks and gold dropped to 500k-550k, I'd say sales have more of an inpact.

(i only read the first page of posts, sorry if any this has been said already)

Here's the deal as it seems to me; PWE doesn't want people playing PWI anymore. They would love everyone to switch over to FW and then they can stop updating/fixing PWI. Similar to how a construction company would look at tearing down old buildings to put in a new mall. The downside to this is that some of the players who have been playing for 2,3,4+ years really don't WANT to play FW. So in turn... PWE is forced to "encourage" players to switch games, namely by putting ridiculous sales in until every single scrub on the server is max refined in the best possible gear. On paper, this looks like a great idea, getting everyone into their end-game gear so they get bored and move on.. However, in the process, they ruin the thrill of the chase. And thus you have PWI as it is today.

Sorry if I don't have it all straight, this is just my viewpoint on what is going on, I promise its not a "personal attack on PWE" or anything crazy lol.

Personally, I remember back when +4 TT90 was hot stuff, as well as even farther back when making a +3TT60 weapon made you OP. :P

This exactly. When packs are off sale for some time, gold always drops low.

I think pwi is just going broke lol. I read some where that they are not bringing in new players but exisiting players are paying more. Or something along those lines. Ive played for alittle over a year now and every week there has been sales without fail. Not much content has been added imo compared to other games. The new city and classes are interesting but ive already leveled a toon to 100. It was a fun awhile, but theres less buggy, balanced, better looking games out there. Time to move on to greener pastures b:surrenderb:bye

Qui thats not the sale price that's the normal price. Noone want's to buy for 45 gold when they can hold the gold and wait for the sale when it will be 18 gold. When packs are not on sale you have the merchants with their billions of coins buying up all the gold in preparation of the crazy sales.

The way things are now the only way to buy something from the boutique at the right price is when it is on sale. Else you have to buy from merchants at a markup.

You mean the part where they started buying back their shares last month, which in stock-broker language roughly translates to, "We're earning so much profit at the moment that we can't think of what to spend it on next, so we're going to spend it on not having to share our profits in the future"?

In this case, I think it means "we're making enough that we can try to artifically jack up our share prices, and maybe get our Buy rating back! Maybe people won't look at our fundamentals next quarter!" b:bye
