However, warsoul weapon is $6k USD, last I heard, and the R9 armor is around $4k for 4 out of 5 pieces of it. You can figure out how much it would cost to +12 everything. Then, Pan Gu or Love Up and Down tome, int Cape, cube neck or whatever floats your boat, R8 and R9 rings, and you're set.

Not sure how archers shard their armor at endgame, but... I think most go with Vit stones and Garnet Gems or similar for TW/PK. Someone else should elaborate more on that...

You will pay more for your weapon and armor than I spent on my WRX if you get Warsoul + 4/5 R9. You could just go full R9 and get slightly more -int, 50 instead of 70 attack level, and different bonuses.

When I said money is not an issue, I didn't mean like 4,000 dollars. Thats just ****ing crazy. I was thinking more like 500 max. How common is Rank 8 among Archers? Still worth it? Or just go for Nirvana?

Everyone is assuming there'll be another rep/chip sale in the near future. During the sale, both Rep Badges and Mysterious Chips were on sale for ridiculously low prices. December and February both had sales which lasted 4 weeks. When there is no sale, you are at the mercy of those who stocked up on rep badges. Everything below assumes it's during the sale.

Rank 8 is easy. It is 200k Rep, which costs 72 gold. Each item costs 1m to buy from NPC. Almost everyone has Rank 8. I cannot speak about whether or not Rank 8 is better than Nirvana 1st or 2nd cast, with respect to PvP, as I don't PvP.

I believe to complete Rank 9 is around than 1,000 gold for the Cash Shop portion, and then you need to obtain Dragon Quest Items to sell to NPC, and use the Dragon Points to obtain Medals of Glory.

- 300k Rep total (usually Rep Badges from Cash Shop)
- General Summer's Tokens (usually from Mysterious Chips from Cash Shop)
- Medals of Glory (from Dragon Points). In December, you could buy this from the Cash Shop, but I think market conditions on most (all?) servers made it cheaper to buy Dragon Quest items from other players and sell to NPC to get Dragon Points. The February Rep sale did not have Medals of Glory in the Cash Shop.

You will pay more for your weapon and armor than I spent on my WRX if you get Warsoul + 4/5 R9. You could just go full R9 and get slightly more -int, 50 instead of 70 attack level, and different bonuses.

just how do u get to 70 attack lvls if you use warsoul + 4/5 r9?

4/5 r9 = 10 att lvls as bonus + warsoul -> 60 att lvls

5/5 r9 = 10 att lvls + 20 att lvls + 30 att lvls on r 9 bow -> 60 att lvls

5/5 r9 > 4/5 r9 + warsoul at any rate

anyway id go with def lvl +2 shards at endgame

Thanks. That was rather helpful. But I don't think I have the money for Rank 9 stuff, as much as I would want to go for it.

Can anyone Elaborate if Rank 8 > Nirvana. Or Nirvana > Rank 8. I don't wanna be spending my money on Rank 8 to find out its not worth it, and that Nirvana is still better.

At the moment I am leaning towards Rank 8 as it looks a lot cheaper then Nirvana.

TL;DR Is Nirvana 2nd Cast better then Rank 8? Or are they close to equal.

Well...one is a lot cheaper than the other. Rank8 has a lot more damage than Nirvana first cast. Compared to second cast, Rank 8 starts at higher base damage:

R8: 1195-2219
Jaden Emperor: 1180-2191

but Nirvana second cast beats it in refines. The damage starts to become equal at around +5, by +12, Nirvana second cast is better than Rank 8 by about 100 weapon damage.

R8 +12: 2395-3419
Jaden Emperor +12: 2492-3503

Of course, Jaden Emperor can be better at any refine because you can get adds like +20 attack levels or Purge, and normal adds such as +100 damage or +19 dex will allow it to compete with R8 in raw damage even more.

The cost...well let's just say I don't see many archers going for Nirvana weapon these days. The richest and the best are indeed looking to R9, the poorer ones get R8. I see some sin alts (of rich people) wielding their archer's former Nirvana bows for fun. If money is not the issue R9 is the best thing you can have, but don't kick us if PWI releases some Nirvana-R10-Warsoul Bow with zerk in a few months, cuz well...that's PWI for ya.

R9 bow has interval. Warsoul bow does not. They both do the same base weapon damage. But, taken as individual components, the Warsoul bow has a +50 attack level modifier, sooo... You're doing 50% more damage with the Warsoul bow than with R9. They both refine exactly the same... But...

To maximize damage per hit, DPS, and make yourself a 1 hit kill machine (I think you might be able to oneshot Bogumors even), you would need a Warsoul bow +12, and 4 out of 5 pieces of R9 armor, and whatever else you wanted.

That would cost more than I paid for my car.

I don't see where you got that the Warsoul does 50% more than R9. If you're only comparing the weapon themselves, Warsoul only has 20% Attack Level over R9.

And if you are saying that 5/6 R9 + Warsoul = 1 hit, then you may have overlooked the final set bonus of R9.

Your post made me lol.

R9 bow has 30 attack levels by itself, remember? So Warsoul only has 20 attack levels on it... which a R9 bow user can negate with Frenzy if they desire. As for your maximaze DPS theory... well....

Well would ya look at that? r9 bow giving 30 attack levels, combined with the attack level +20 from using the full set gets you... the exact same attack levels as warsoul with missing r9 would give. Except with r9 bow, you have a better attack rate, a better weapon proc, and slightly more damage. At this point, the only thing warsoul has on just going for full r9 is a bit of crit from the bow. In other words, full r9 beats warsoul on a DPS standpoint.

This build is mainly PvE Wise and meant to use Claws for 5.0 (ofc) As for the refines on them they are final. The soulstones may chance to Savants.

1. I have my Archer to level 100 already.

2. Most of my Armor will be used on my Sin (Account Stash)

Well I do have the Warsoul of Earth helm already. I thought maybe I would Nirvana it, bbut if its not worth it I will probably just keep it the way it is.

I also wanted the Nirvana because of the Set Bonus.

Warsoul helm starts with more hp, but Nirvana helm beats it in refines and provides defensive stats. The more you refine the helms, the less difference it makes, and at +12 the Nirvana helm barely beats Warsoul in hp.
