Okay..So I've been aware for quite some time about sage onslaught having some kind of problem, but i never did much looking into it..but i just got my last Sage Book and onslaught is my only other possibility Left for learning/Improving skills..I would like to know in detail why there is something wrong with it? is it seriously busted and doesn't do what it says it should do...or do people think the skills design sucks compared to lvl10 so they just call it broken/fail? and if its truly broken why hasn't it been fixed in all of this time? Do they plan to ever fix it?...i see it all the time in the AH and always over 10mil..if its so broken why does it cost so much..who would buy it...any info i can get on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The biggest concern is that zerk weapons won't proc when using onslaught. Other than that, it's harder hitting and 100% accurate.

The extended cast time does take some getting used to, primarily when to cast it during an opponent kiting for example.

I say go for it. I love my sage Onslaught. It's not gonna hit as hard as arma, but it's still powerful. And when it crits you will see big ******n numbers.

yes i am leaning toward learning it...i have the book and its my very last sage skill to learn..as far as i can see the only broken part about it is no zerk if you use a zerk weapon and i think i can live with that

In pk against good geared opponents you will often need back to back crit/zerk or a crit/zerk at the right time.

that + the increased chan makes this skill not worth it imo.

had this skill for well over a year and I regret learning it.

if going with r8/a non zerk wep as endgame it doesnt matter to much though.

The skill is obv. bugged and I wouldnt hold my breath on it being fixed.

    COME ENDGAME:

Refines typically rest at about +10 for all gear, usually full Nirvana or R9 if you wise to be factor.

Level 10 Onslaught: .4 second channel, 1.1 second cast, 50% evasion debuff, 12 meter range.
Level 11 Sage Onslaught: 1.1 second channel, 1.1 second cast, 50% evasion debuff, 12 meter range, 100% accurate.

That alone, makes it questionable, but let's delve into details:

Sage Onslaught CANNOT makes weapon addons occur, meaning if you go R8, your polehammer cannot stun with Onslaught, cannot zerk, cannot gloom, or whatever other addon you might have.

    FURTHERMORE:

Typically endgame barb will have (7-8)k-(11-14)k physical attack, meaning that if you hit a low end hit with onslaught, then auto attack at the high end, your auto attack will do more damage.

WITH NO INTERVAL GEAR: Dual axes hit at 0.83 APS, that means that you can auto attack twice easily within the time it takes to get one sage onslaught off.

Both of those auto attacks have a chance to make your weapon addon occur, and if you are cheap, don't require mana. If you and any APS gear, the advantage is furthered.

Many barbs will complain about accuracy, G12 shards give 300 acc each, there are 4 50% accuracy rings that I know of, and ever heard of apothecary?

The skill is down right awful, it is so terribly gimped, and anyone who dares defend it probably has +3 beacon axes, (This is coming from someone with +11 Lunar 2nd cast axes that have sac. strike.)

Don't learn it, please don't. Biggest waste of coin, and a huge regret. I have been sending in tickets for what is approaching a year now just so that I can unlearn the skill, I would settle for paying CASH to have it back at level 10 again.

Barbs are already ridiculously outdated, don't gimp your poor cultivation choice more by learning that garbage skill!
