Just started a cleric for a change of pace from my main, was wondering what Genie skills are considered worth getting for it? I don't know much about caster types so any input would be helpful ty

I'd be interested in this too, since when genies originally came out I'd been out of commission for months. b:surrender
One thing I DO know though, is Holy Path, preferably maxed. You'll notice that clerics (and most casters), run much slower than most of the melee classes. And when everyone you need to heal is powering ahead and you're stuck behind, it's a godsend.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
~Demon as of 5/6/12 - On the night where the moon is closer to the earth and brighter than any other night in the past 18 years.~
Slow and steady stays alive~ I'm in no rush, I'm enjoying the journey to end game just as it was ment to be. b:victory

At lower levels earthquake is really nice. Clerics don't get a pushback, so this helps out a lot with melee mobs. I'd say get a zeal for earthflame as well, since it's harder to stay alive in lower levels if you pull 3 or more mobs.
At higher levels getting expel and absolute domain is handy for harder instances and in TWs.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I see Earthflame is an Initial skill with the Zeal genie. If you replaced Earthflame with another skill, could you get it back again?0 -

Sadly, no. If you delete a skill that a genie comes with then you can't get it back.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

In my lower levels I had a zeal for the luring skill earthflame and second wind for that quick "OMGIMSCREWED" panic button.
Now I have a Longevity since I hardly need a luring skill. From my genie building experience, Longevitys are the easiest to get a high LP score. My genie is lvl87 with 69/80 LP. This means more skills! b:victory
My current skills for my genie is Holy path (for quick get aways, also used in cube, TT, BH and FC alot) Cloud eruption (for quick chi. Level 5 gives me 1 and 1/2 spark; always use it in FC since people wanna go fast) Second wind (for panic button, always kept it for some reason) and well I don't have any other ones.
Hope it helps somewhat b:cute0 -
I have Absolute Domain and Second Wind for emergencies. Holy Path to run fast. ^^ Cloud Eruption to get chi fast. My Genie build is 50 vit, 50 mag, rest str and I love it! (I'm 100% PVE player, I don't need PVP skills).0

Genie skills cleric's MUST have. Holy Path, Cloud Eruption, Absolute Domain. (PVE at-least) No exceptions unfortunately. b:surrender Everything else are fillers. Some good skills to consider are Expel, Frenzy, Tanglemire, Rainbow blessing, Extreme Poison, Fortify, Occult Ice, Tree of Protection, and Second Wind. I really all varies on your play style. My cleric's main genie has these skills. Holy Path, Cloud Eruption, Absolute Domain, Expel, Frenzy and Tangling Mire. (71/100 genie)0

Rainbow blessing is awesome for when you are trapped in BB with nothing to do but twiddle your thumbs.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks for the sig Ophida0 -
you just need one skill. holy path. just run away from everything trying to kill you[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks for Flauschkatze for siggy b:cool
VIT > STR > DEX > MAG... GG
HA > LA > AR... GG
HA + VIT = win b:bye0 -
Frenzy is a Berserker skill, ie a good way to get your butt one shotted, unless you are a sin and nobody can see you coming. Would rather recommend extreme poison only downside is no good in a surprise attack. Oh and you can use it in BB if you get bored to help your team out b:victory
Holy path (50 vit 50 Mag for double tap ability)
Windpush (original skill can't remember which genie b:beatup ) if you have 3.0/6.0 aero gear it is mental though b:chucklePWI b:bye0 -
mine has holy path, second wind, cloud eruption and relentless courage (to get bb up that little bit faster) im currently working on getting absolute domain. for clerics, just skills that do wat clerics do (heal and protect)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
My computer beat me at checkers, but I sure beat it at kickboxing. b:cool0 -

The main question though is if your genie is going to be PVE or PVP. I have 3 on me atm, and I always keep a lvl 10 Zeal genie (with max energy regain for that level) on me. I hate using stamina for something as trivial as this, and my squads (so far) hadn't minded that they had to wait (I think they didn't want to use their genies too <.<).I love my sister, Alex
Even though, I taught her more then she taught me. b:cute0 -
would extreme poison work better than rainbow blessing, if you want the mob/boss to die faster? If I read the description right, it say the blessing is random. So there would be a chance it would give a melee with 30% increase magic attack?0
