Assassin Level 92 skills fixed!

Finally, looks like Assassins get their 92 skills on time. I can personally testify, as I recently learned Sage Rib Strike on this character and a faction mate says they were able to learn Sage Bloodpaint and Sage Dagger Devotion despite only being 94. The skill books do still state that you need Mastery of Harmony, but that's untrue.

I'd suspect the same is true of Psychic skills, but I cannot say for sure.

On Sage Rib Strike, I'd like to report the following: The damage you deal is dealt before the debuff, so learning Sage Rib Strike is pretty much a waste as you'll most likely out-damage the debuff on any normal mob, making it useless. On bosses, you often either have an Archer or something better to do than use Sage Rib Strike. And the additional damage isn't worth the mana cost either: about 500 more damage while the mana cost more than doubles.

It's just a mistype in the requisite Cultivation level.

I thought I needed to be Master of Discord before I could learn Demon Rib Strike, but I learned it at 99 before my culti, still in the Aware of Void cultivation level.

but nonetheless I like Demon Rib Strike. 65% slow helps a lot.

Well, when he first got the skills, they stated level 92 with level 99 cultivation. They opted to change the level requirement to 99. Now it's back to reading level 92 with level 99 cultivation, but apparently that's not true.

Ya, when I bought the Demon Rib Strike, it stated the lvl 99 cultivation level requirement. I was all "D: noooooo" after I bought it. I only found out that I could learn it at 92+ at the demon assassin in hell. XD

If they required lvl 99 cultivation before the expansion, then that sucks

It did. I had to wait until I finished my 99 culti to get my sage bloodpaint. b:sad

In regards to using sage ribstrike on bosses: I've found that unless you run with an archer or sage veno regularly, it's well worth it. Although the same care should be used in xp runs since it nerfs xp (not a whole lot, but it's there).

And a psy friend of mine told me that their skills are learnable now as well. Hearsay, but I trust him.

The xp is based off of the damage dealt, not the max hp of the boss at the time it was killed, making the duration irrelevant.

Personally, I think it's not worth it, but some people really do care.

Well, at least on my level, I often notice that I am the one using Rib Strike as the other sins are mostly Demon and are too busy sparking to even give a thought to Rib Strike. And somehow I think they'd rather have Rib Strike with exp loss than no Rib Strike at all.

I've also noticed that in general, sage sins tend to use more skills than* demons. But I've had both sages and demons, sins and others complain about the dreaded xp nerf in FF. It's not like I said to not use the skill at all, but if you have someone who will grief you enough to want to blacklist them, it might be a good idea to hold off for a couple seconds. If it's that big of a deal to them, let them rib strike first.

I'm a demon sin, and the first thing I do when I start fighting a boss is Rib Strike them. I love demon rib strike

That's when I spark and attack. Nowadays I swap to Decides after a Rib Strike to have 5aps/permaspark against a boss. After 2 sparks I swap back to daggers, rib strike, wolf emblem if it's not on cd, and same for focused mind.

I don't see how hard it is to swap to daggers mid fight to toss in a rib strike.

I just hit 100 tonight.. So I'm prob not going to use the deicides as often. I can do a lot more skill spamming now with r8 daggers, as I got those, as well as some demon skills.

Now I'm totally broke b:cry
