That is a crazy build indeed. MAG does NOTHING for a seeker.

Let me say this right now.

We aren't a magic class DESPITE some of our skills dealing metal damage. MAG doesn't affect them in the slightest.

Can just use those lvl75 pots or a charm. Putting points into mag just takes away from your power. Some of that can be put into vit and dex(maybe a few in STR).

You only need 1500 worth of mana to keep vortex at a constant run.. I put 40 points to it at lvl 60... by the time im level 90+ ill be able to restat.. Other than that you've wasted a ton of points...

Yes. Heavy Armor is the only way to go. STR, DEX and VIT are all you need to worry about. As for elemental resistences, all I can say about that is to try to acquire some good HA gear that has ALL the elements on it. For manufactured gear, 3* is best.

Ofcource we have also been told in the past that a light armor magic class could never work

There's a difference between sacrificing some offense for better HP/Defense like LA magic classes do and completely ruining your characters defenses, HP and offense to be able to keep 1 AoE spell up that you'll be able to do at levels above 90 anyway.

You don't gain HP, defense from going LA as a mag: you lose it. Only reason to go LA is if they have another toon to share equips with.

well, it depends. if the question is, "how can i make my melee mostly-physical damage character die faster and more often", then an arcane seeker would be one possible answer... b:chuckle

but seriously, the build you use will interact with the playstyle you choose and the restrictions forced on you by the class definitions. the way which seekers are forced to fight --- mostly melee, mostly physical damage --- just doesn't go well with arcane armor; you'd be exposing your characters' weaknesses and failing to support its strengths.

odd builds can be made to work if there's some way to compensate for their weaknesses, and/or if they complement some otherwise underutilized strength. heavy armor venoes are no mistake, venoes have the fox skill tree and melee mastery for a reason. light armor clerics and wizards are a compromise, lower mag defenses for higher phys defenses and survivability; it can be made to work, but it WILL lower their damage (and healing) output. what advantages would an AA seeker build emphasize, and how would you compensate for its lack of phys def?
