does anyone agree with me that wizards should have more buffs that can be cast on other people aswell? b:laugh I mean if a wizard could buff a cleric with glacial embrace and wellspring quaff (that would help alot with mana), or a barb with stone barrier... wouldnt that benafit them aswell?

but does anyone see were im comming from with this?

Kinda, but think about it like this--a wizzy's self buff set is unique. Turning it into a squad buff or sommat would do one good thing--make them extra useful in squads, but it would also kill the uniqueness of it.

And furthermore, would you really want to try and kill a Demon Stone Barrier'd barb in TW? I think not.

One of my main alts (does that even makes sense?) is a wizzie, so I get what you're saying... but I don't agree.

Wizards, in most fantasy media, are personified by their self-sufficiency. They bend the laws of physics to their will, and need not the pithy help of lesser folk.

I like how that carries over here, even though it does mean that Wizzies are heavily handicapped until high levels. Wizard magic is offensive, and heavily so. To suggest otherwise is to insult the wizard. This guy can call down meteors and level a field with a fiery onslought, and you're asking him to buff your defense? Pshaw, go find a cleric, before he crushes you under the mountain he pulls down on top of you!

That's always been my take, anyway, b:chuckle

    ^^ this.

Wizzies are indeed unique, and should stay that way. I have no wizzie, but i love them pouring down massive amounts of damage in any battle. They are to be feared at high lvls and rightfully so.

They are the counterbalance against heavy armored heavily healed tanks and the likes.

It's bothersome to have one against you, but man, do they rock when on your side.

omg, if I reroll on Sanc will you marry me?

    @MagicKilling
Stone barrier would be OP if it were used on any class beside wizards (hell, it's even OP on us)
We wouldn't be any more wanted in squads anyways, because our biggest problem is our horrible dps.

Could you imagine a psychic in white voodoo with stone barrier? More specifically, Luci?

Meh, he already has such crazy high pdef/DEF lvls that it probably wouldn't make much of a difference.

Only squad buff I'd want from wizzies that isn't one atm is wellspring.

The extra MP would be wonderful for all those zhenning classes and for pretty much every caster.

Their shields, on the other hand, should stay for them and them alone.
