Issue with tab

Ok, to help you guys understand I'm going to try and explain everything...

It all started off when I detected a virus on my PC, i'd like to point out that during this time PWI was running fine. As a result of the virus I reformatted my PC, reinstalled xp as well as my drivers and files.

Now upon reinstalling PWI this is where the problem arised, when in game I can play fine with no issues nowever when I "alt tab" out of the game i.e. go to desktop to open email, firefox etc... Then go back into the game I find that the pwi cusor becomes the standered desktop cusor - Upon clicking anywhere on the screen in this state will result in throwing me back to the desktop as if I had alt tabbed... I can go back into the game again but clicking results in throwing me out again. The game is running in this state, but I am unable to interact with the mouse.

It sounds to me like the game isn't been run to the front or something like that, could anyone give me insight on what to do?

My anti virus is: Comdo
My video card is: Geforce GX8400 (SFF)
Op: Windows XP home
