Thicket info

I'm just curious what the actual aoe of thicket is since its one of the many mystic skills that is sorely lacking in its skill description. If you haven't actually used it you wouldn't even know it had an aoe from the in game info lol.

Regardless of its actual aoe, I've found that if you hit a mob with it and another gets aggroed nearby it can walk into the area and take most (if not all) of the damage even if it was totally out of the aoe to begin with during that small window of damage over time.

This can make its potentially way more useful than its aoe (whatever it may actually be) would suggest. Using its "splash damage" it can effectively cover an area of 15 meters or more it seems with a high rate of debilitation (seal+freeze) due to every tick having a chance to proc.

Combined with the effect lasting at least 5-6 sec judging from how I can just pick off the leftovers with amped AbSo it makes it one of my new favorite skills b:victory

The reason I want to know its true aoe, is that I wonder if each tick is dependant on the target being near all 4 plants, or if it was caught only by 1-3 of them if it only does that much damage. This would explain why a mob that wasn't close enough to the main target but ran over midskill can usually only take a fraction of full damage but usually get imobilized.

If I had to guess I'd say it was a 10m aoe with 75% percent chance to seal+immobilize for 6 seconds. The fact it does great damage even at lv1 is just bonus IMO

my thicket is still only level 1 at the moment, since im lacking skill points, i dont feel its one of the most important skills i need at this time. but, from what ive tested, its AOE range is short. but like all other AOEs (or most int he game anyways) the AOE range will probbaly grow as the skill gets higher. I can only hope, though, because to me the range seems pretty small at level 1 right now.

It's somewhat annoying that silence and freeze doesnt activate together. When I use it in FC, I see a bunch of mobs running out of the aoe area when they get silenced only and taking even longer to kill them all.

Just like with gale force I always get both together unless its a glancing hit, and even then its usually immobilize and not silenced not the other way around. Haven't been to frost on mystic yet but I imagine that as the number of mobs and the killzone spreads out that I'll see more runners.

I wish that swirling mist was aoe too cause then they wouldn't run far b:surrender

Which one is better for FC: Gale Force or Thicket ? I'm a little poor I wanna to know which one I should max first.
By the way Thicket is really useful aoe?
    Thanks.

I use thicket often in dungeons, the aoe with the silence and freeze is invaluable in helping with certain situations with extra aggro/mobs beating on someone they shouldn't.

But in all honesty if you just wanna cause mad damage and max aoe damage I think the Cragglord does a FAR better job. If you can manage to use all of his skills from the moment he's summoned on every cooldown he can use both skills 3 times each, which if you've ever seen his damage = some amazing burst aoe damage.

Mix a little Gale force in there with a befuddling creeper and you've got some aoe power behind you. (Not as good as mabye a Psy or Seeker but nothing to scoff at)

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, but my Thicket and Gale Force seals and freezes simultaneously. I find it quite amusing.

it does seem to increase in aoe range as you level it,

when i had mine at level 1 it only seemed to hit mobs inside the plants radius,

i think i have it at level 5 now and it's radius is much larger. it still looks as though it will be smaller than most ult aoe's. i'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 4-8 meters as it levels

Cragglord + Gale Force is a better aoe combo regardless.

I like craglord for its power, but hate having to fiddle with its skills as it never appears with them "active" like when he leaves. He also costs way more mp, and about half the time he has unusual difficulty actually getting to mobs. Even if they are right in front of him.

I'll be spamming the attack key and he will just walk around like there is a wall to go around or something. Sometimes its bad enough that he ends up leaving without attacking anything and I summon devil which runs right to the mobs EVERY time.

Personally it would be nice if craglord just summoned next to you (or the target) and spammed his aoe for continously for 20 sec automatically. That is what I originally imagined it doing b4 classes came out. I figured that when I read "heavy aoe fire dmg for 20 sec" that it was like popping out a DB or BoA, not summon and hope it does what you tell it to do lol

The fact that you're spamming the attack key might be your problem.

You see, each time you click an attack with any summon while they're going after something already, the summon will stop for a second and go "Okay, this is what I need to do instead of what I was planning on. Great, got it.". And each time you click that attack, he has to go back through that again.

Try and practice on level 1 mobs in starter areas. Just click the attack once and let him do his thing. If he still has problems, then there might be a legit defect with the Cragglord AI that needs to be brought into the light.

My first char was a veno, so i should clarify that I'm not new to pets, and that I was more *press H* "cmon do something" *waits* *presses again* *waits while he looks at me funny and dissappears* then I summon devil hit the button and he runs at mobs.

    Hm, weird.
