I don't understand Absorb Soul

Feeling a bit dumb but I don't understand how this spell works, help!!

Caterpie - Dreamweaver

Nature's vengeance puts a debuff on the mob.

If you use Absorb Soul during that debuff, the skill does double damage.

Absorb soul can't crit.

It does different damage to players and to mobs.

Thanks, I saw that thread but there is so much information about things that work, don't work, might work that it got me more confused. I didn't know the main damage spell had an effect, so I always have to cast that before absorb soul or I cast absorb soul first? And what exactly are the effects of the spell?

Yeah, I figured that you only wanted to know the basics about it, which is why I didn't link you to my thread. b:chuckle

You can cast Absorb Soul first, but the 5 seconds of channeling aren't really worth the damage imo if you don't double it with Nature's Grace first.

And there are no effects on Absorb Soul, it's just straight direct high-spike physical damage. b:cute

Well, imo, even if the dmg is cool, it's far from being worth a 5 sec channeling, even with nature's vengeance. At least not until you get around -50% channeling .
