Pole/Fist Build

So I was thinking of re-rolling, right? I noticed just about every freakin' BM had the Axe/Fist build. I don't like that. I like being at least a little unique, so I was thinking of going Pole/Fist! ^ ^ Think I can be a successful BM if I do that? o:

Semi-Successful. Be unique if you want when your not in a squad doing quest. But when it comes to being a damage dealer in your squad, you would need Axe skills.
Also, a majority of Blademasters I see are now all weapon build or pure axe.AP classes are a real butt pounding...0 -
It'd probably cost a lot of money for all weapons and to have most of the decent skills. lol I'm not gonna spend money on this game until I have to. I guess a lot of grinding and crafting could help me though.0

if your not going to spend money then you should go fist/axe. Because the axe aoe help a lot when zhening and solo grinding a bunch of mobs.0

3 strength per level for axes vs. 2.5 strength for poleaxes. So to gain axes you would need 1 strength every two levels, have a much easier time aoe grinding, getting into squads, better damage, better spike damage, Drake Bash for stun locks, and HF to get into squads.
It's not so much about being cookie cutter because you're axe/fist. Its that you need axes, swords, fists, and poles to use all your skills. Its comparable to a cleric that doesn't stat to use their next weapon.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
I wouldn't say Axes do better damage. They only have a better max damage, right?
Say an Axe is something like 400-1000. While a Pole would be like 600-800. It's closer together, so they have a better chance to hit a decent amount of damage.0 -

Think AoEs. Suppose Axes can hit 25 enemies around them for 400-1000. Whereas a pole only has frontal AoEs and hits 8 enemies in front of them for 600-800.
Axes will deal more total damage regardless. Poles have longer range and some good knock backs I suppose.BM PvP Guide: pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1320761

Pole's and other spear class weapons have a slightly faster attack rate and a slightly lower base dmg. I think you're thinking poleaxe which is still part of the axe/hammer family.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0
