Questions about Mystic Pets and Tip
1. I am unsure of something. Can I continue using a pet I acquired at a lower level (like the Devil) when I am high level? Or do you have to move on to the new pets in order to get level appropriate benefits?
2. Are the stats of the pet only effected by the gear I am wearing at the time of summoning? So should you have some special high magic attack gear on at summoning then replace it with your regular gear?
3. Does my pet use manna or chi to use it's spells? What does it use the chi for? How does it get more chi?
And just a little tip, if you want to re-summon a new pet without re-logging, just tell pet to stay while traveling and eventually it will disappear and you can re-summon a new 'at level' pet.

1. Yes you can and it is pretty much required. Just remember to level up the skill.
2. Pets are affected by gear, skill level and your level. Also @your second question, if you have "high magic attack gear" why would you change to just 'regular' gear lol
3. Pet's "chi" is just another name for mana. He gets more chi by using "transference" lvl 19 skill which transfers part of your mp to him.0 -
1. The pets level with you. If you level once or twice, you just have to re-summon it and it'll be your level again. The Chihyu is the tank/damage pet, Storm Mistress is the magic damage pet, Salvation is the defense buff pet, and Craggrock is a powerful 20s damage pet, so they all have different uses.
2. Not sure how that works, exactly.
3. It uses mana, even though the bar says chi. Chihyu can get by without using mana, but he'll kill much slower. Storm Mistress and Salvation absolutely cannot go without filling their mana bars (and Storm Mistress goes through mana like crazy). Not sure about Craggrock.
As for resummoning, you don't have to halt your pet and walk away >.>. Just click on the hotkey for that pet again, and you'll resummon a new one. The old one just fades away.
That trick does work well if you want to get rid of a summon for a while, though.xx LinneaSage - Level 66 Arcane Veno - {Retired}

Well I might have a piece of lower level gear that has a bonus to magic attack but not much else that great, so I could swap it in for the better pet.Just click on the hotkey for that pet again, and you'll resummon a new one.
haha, that is easy! I guess halt and walking away is still good for leaving your pet outside the city as not to add clutter!0 -

I know what you mean: Why not just wear the better gear yourself, right?
One thing that you can do is have a set of gear that boosts damage and survival so your summon gets those bonuses. Then after you summon it, you swap out to gear that has stats that give you more benefit such as more mp, mp recovery, etc. which could help you with supporting your summon. Just one example.0 -

I would love to hear of a test on if it is worth it. Has anyone tried it yet?0
