I have no problem with ppl boosting but I am a worst case sinario person.

Just wondering if FC boosting is against the rules or not?

The reason for my question is simply in a previous post I asked about fb/bh 29 how you can pull the boss threw the door without killing the tower if it was banable offence. The answer from GM was, yes it is because your not playing the game the way it was intended.
So did they intend to make fc for ppl to boost or are ppl just taking advantage of a good thing.

would like a GM to respond to this tread pls. Ty b:pleased

First, what do you mean by "boost"?

Second, logging into the game is technically a bannable offence. Since the GMs hold the right to ban you for any reason whatsoever.

Well.... FF (that's what we call it since on the map it's called Forgotten Frostland lol) has a entry lvl of 85. That being said..... taking somone lower level in there (even lvl one if they don't pull a stupid and survive to the heads) is completely different then skipping around obvious game mechanics in a instance like 29. If they wanted us to skipp half the instance and pull Qingzi through the door (which only a veno can do anyway, which is prolyl half the reason it's bannable since ONLY a veno can pull that far)), they would've just left half the instance out in the first place lol. Lower level people WERE intended to go in FF....... you get the quests in there at 75, not 85.

Now if someone wants to skip half the game, have 500 quests in their Find Quests, and powerlvl in FF from 1-80 in what, a day or two?..... that's their problem but it's not bannable.

In power levelling alts through FC they are not abusing any glitch but using the mechanics of the game to their advantage. while this may put them at an advantage - you have a high level character and two pcs - nothing in the rules says you cannot use one to assist levelling the other as long as you have physical control of both PCs. if they were multiclienting to accomplish this and after investigation from PWE this was determined then they may be banned for multiclienting BUT not for towing an alt through FC.

similarly high levels offering the server to low levels is also not against the rules. If a player wants to miss most of the game content then who are we to say they cannot. Nothing in the use of FC prevents other players from enjoying the game

not saying it is right (or even fair to the developers of the game who did put a lot of effort into the whole game world) but there is nothing in the rules against it.

well see the thing is its not like we skiped it the first play though or even second in some cases

like me i ran through the arch quests 4 times before this and decided **** this im hypering cause point blank 4 times is too many to be enjoyable let alone 5.

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

no offense intended esco, and I perfectly understand - this is something like my 20th pw character O.o

I am enjoying the early game/new quests. my mystic got to level 30 before i even had to go to archosaur (to get my culti lol) just from doing the quests down in the new area. that was all in the space of just over 8 hours (3 or 4 hours each evening). my seeker is 19 after about 5 hours - bit slower than mystic but still enjoyable. Once I get to the boring mid30s levels I will probably invest in some oracles or hypers and do some level skipping. then again I may not.

Honestly if you've done one quest you've done them all. 99% of quests are:

    Go kill 50 mobs

Go kill 50 mobs that are slightly different

Go kill 50 mobs that are slightly different

    Kill a weak boss

And that's almost all the quests in the game right there.

Yeah, now that I have more alts 20+, I'm getting less and less excited for all those arch quests on my mystic. I loved how there were so many quests in the start area, but after that the quests suck.

But using FCC for alts isn't a bannable offense, but frowned upon by some people.

Sorry about that I didnt realise that the lingo was different on different servers, I should have figured it.

When I say boosting I mean Power Lvling yes, when I say FC I mean FrostCity.

Good Point about them being able to ban you for anything... IT'S TRUE b:surrender.

I would still like to hear from a GM about this, I assume its ok because so many ppl do it.

As for why ppl want to or don't want to I suppose it's up to them. I however like to play the game threw and threw.....but I do have a lot of high lvl toons/characters so I might boost/PL when I hit lvl70.
