Northern Sky Waltz Bug?

Alright, I'm just starting a Seeker, so maybe I'm not really understanding what's going on/how this thing works, but here goes.

Northern Sky Waltz, level 1:
Lasts for 10 minutes. During this time, each attack as a 12% chance to add the Eye of the Northern Sky status on the enemy. This status will last for 10 seconds. Use in tandem with Staggering Strike while the status is active to deal 197.3 additional damage and immobilize the target for 3 seconds. The target's Defense level is also decreased by 11 for 8 seconds.

Now we look at the skill intended for use with it.

Staggering Strike, level 1:
Deals base physical damage plus 131.5 to the enemy. Use on an enemy with the Eye of the Northern Sky status to immobilize the target, deal extra damage, and reduce the target's defense.

So, when you use Staggering Strike on an enemy with that status effect in place, it should deal 328.8 damage plus base physical attack. The problem is, it is definitely, absolutely not doing that. It doesn't even come close. Staggering Strike is dealing the same amount of damage, regardless. Now, is this a bug, or am I completely missing something?

And yes, I'm absolutely positive that the status effect is on the critter before comparing damage results.

Oh, and on a sidenote, it'd be nice if the aura around the blade were blue instead of red. I dunno, the word "north" and the blue icon for the skill would seem to suggest a lighter color.

From what i see, the damage isn't combined but separated.
It will show as 2 hits when staggering used on enemy with northern sky buff

So when the combo active the damage that show up will be :

Staggering damage 1st followed by Northern Sky damage 2nd = total damage

For example a lv 24 seeker with lv 3 norther and lv 4 staggering
the target is red jade dragonfly
First hit will show 343 (Staggering) and the second 626 (Norhern Sky) = 969

...but my suggestion for a blue aura instead of red still stands! >_>
