the Pwi: Genesis storyline

I read the storyline for Pwi:Genesis which said - An ancient Pan'Gu prophecy had foretold the destruction of Perfect World, and the time of the prophecy has come. I was thinking what gave the game designers this idea for a storyline. This idea is not new actually. In current world news we hear a lot about ancient prophecies coming to pass in our time. There are the Bible prophecies and there are the Mayan prophecies and there are Nostradamus prophecies, and what other ones I've overlooked. These prophecies are predicting the end of the world in our near future. I believe in prophecy but I personally don't believe any of them are foreseeing the end of the world in our lifetime or near future. I just don't see any clear connection to these prophecies and our current world events. But back to what I was saying - I think this is what gave the game designers the idea for their storyline. Please don't anyone try to convince me the end of the world is coming soon. I just won't believe it.

.........His shoes are now worn and cracked. Scaling the walls was no easy task but he had no choice in order to evade the vicious guards below. Now in the deep of the cold night with the biting wind to his back he stands in the shadow of the Crinkled Sharit hall. There basked in the light from a roof top crack is the chest he has sought these last 100 days. Two more guards with heavy schythes. He summons his nerve and uses his mana to summon his best skill. With careful step he approaches the chest and with no sound but the rhythmic rise and fall of the two guards breaths he slips behind it, raises the lid and slips out the final piece of treasure........
Outside and away from the Crinkled Sharit he reads the insrciption on the cloak and smile spreads across his guant face, a thinned lip smile. He sweeps the cloak majestically over his shoulders and feels the power emenate throught his body. His palms are sweaty but he grips his daggers and begins his movement towards the unsuspection mage. "Poor fool he thinks to himself", anxious for the kill and unwilling to wait another moment he dashes forward and stuns the old arcane user. What happens goes by so fast not even he the weilder of such incredible power knew exactly what his twitching and convulsing body was doing but he looked down at the now dead enemy........
5.0 aps, game over.
There is your story, go spread the word: The Power is Yours!0 -
I like the alternate ending to the story...
He sweeps the cloak majestically over his shoulders and feels the power emenate throught his body. His palms are sweaty but he grips his daggers and begins his movement towards the unsuspection mage. "Poor fool he thinks to himself", anxious for the kill and unwilling to wait another moment he dashes forward and tries to stun the old arcane user. Suddenly, his body is frozen in place by some strange force. The expression on his face changes to great fear and sadness, because only now does he realize this "mage" was actually a psychic. The psychic turns to him, with a devilish look in his eye, and suddenly it feels as though his organs are being ripped straight from his body and somehow even his soul is in flames.
Standing over the corpse of this once-powerful assassin, the psychic chuckles and returns to his previous task. "Moron," he thinks, "APS will never overcome knowledge of one's class."

I'm still very jealous of high-APS characters for their ability to solo instances, particularly Frost.0 -
Sadly the first scenario is more likely to happen unless you are an uber psychic.0
