I have seen that a lot of our skills hits of a small range, so im considering to use both LA set for mobs with ranged attacks and HA set for mobs of close range... Anyone already seen this and tried?

Honestly, with the information that Adrenal Numbness will give +30 defense levels when maxed, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to just go with a LA-HA hybrid build end-game. The defense levels would more than make up for the lost physical defense, as well as add additional defense against magic in combination with the light armor.

Let's pretend this is a typical Blademaster build (note I have all physical defense buffs on at level 10, including physical marrow). Without the buffs, physical resistance is down to 65%, so essentially the Blademaster is only getting a 19% increase (21% with the extra gear stats).

For the purpose of this, let's assume a mob deals exactly 1000 physical damage before any armor reduction. In this case, the mob will deal 160 physical damage to the Blademaster with max physical defense buffs. However, this Blademaster also has 1 defense level, meaning that damage taken after armor is reduced by 1%, so the mob instead deals 144 physical damage.

Now, note that in this build, which I presume will be a typical Seeker build, the damage from the same mob will be 410. Now, with the defense levels, it goes to about 283 damage, about twice as much, and that is without any physical defense buffs. Start adding them, and you will notice they will get closer.

Now, if you take it to PvP, well the defense levels of the Seeker just cancel out the Jones Blessing, while for the Blademaster, he only decreases the attack before the attack levels are added in there. At this point, I think this is where the Seeker will truly shine since it does not have to sacrifice either magical or physical defense for the extra defense.

So, assuming that all this is right and I didn't **** up anywhere, I'd have to say that carrying both sets would be most beneficial once you start on PvP. Before that though, it can't hurt to do this except that once you get in range, due to the time it takes to equip all four pieces of armor, you might take extra damage unnecessarily anyways from the physical attacks.

I'm personally considering a LA build myself, seeing as most Seeker skills are ranged. A BM can do HA or LA effectively, so the logic there is a Seeker can also. However, seekers lack the ability to use marrows, so it may be a flawed end. TBH we all might be happier using Magical belts until late game and then a HA chest and leg, LA boot and wrist combo; just like most Blademasters.
Good intentions are like peeing yourself in dark leather pants, you get warm feelings inside, but it doesn't show.
