update problem

so i am trying to up date this game and it only get so far before this stupid error pops up that says "ile download appear error" and then it wants me to retry the update or stop it please help b:shocked

Ok so my back ground on the charatcer select is shot, my chara's don't show up, trying to make my earthengruad, they don't show up so can't customize, and when i go ingame with them it crashs in two seconds, what do I do?
