Its getting ridiculous the amount of bots in sandsong and avalanche farming DQs out of grootes, spiders and basilisks. We kill then. They come back in 2-3 min. Reporting doesn't work so what should we do? Get a bot too? b:shutup

    make a lil x-fire vid of the bot, save it on your x-fire account, send a ticket to the devs, link the vid, wait for the bans.

    If they come back in 2-3 minuts, they are probaly not bots..

    when i grind i can look like a bot cause i estimate where and when mobs will respawn so i can just go in an infinite loop if no one else is around taking less time to grind which means more money i do believe if im not mistaken

    On the contrary...a lot of bots are able to come back once killed.

    Also, the people Ajani is likely refering to are known to use bots.

    There are a lot of bots there but there are also lots of people who grind there often and don't bot that are wrongly accused of being bots. Every person who grinds the same spot for hours and doesn't respond to pms and comes back after you kill them to grind more isn't a bot.
    Lots of people in my faction grind there and are always complaining on vent that people ks them, pk them and accuse them of being bots if they don't show a reaction, but if they do show a reaction and pm people asking not to ks them and kill them, they get abuse and are called qqrs and get pk'd even more and ksd more. So they find the best way to deal with it is to just ignore it and carry on grinding, which makes people think they are botting when they aren't.
    Only real way to know someone is botting is if you kill them and they stay dead for hours. Or you harass them for hours, ksing and pking and still get no response and they keep on trying to grind. But of course who wants to waste that much effort just to prove somones a bot.

    Sure there are people who bot, but compared to most games we have far fewer bots. Medals for dq points has certainly increased the number of bots. But the gms can't just go around banning everyone because a lot of the people reprted for botting may not be bots.
    Hell even i've been accused of botting and I never even grind nevermind bot.

    Sowwy that my Ban Hamster GM summoning powers don't transfer over to people.

    & me detect signs of botting from graef and um...other things... o_o' graef's system needs some cleaning out. Dx

    Best way for you is to record them, if you can't think of anything special to say then say something simple like "hello" or "how are you doing" etc (if you get no response then proceed to the next step which is only valid in PvP servers), force them to burn up their potions, and try to get mobs to kill them. (mob kills = small chance to loot stuff from them & no red hours though you should make sure to have protection since you'll be pink at the very least.)

    Tis quite easy to detect bots. (Since humans don't have AI's but mere scripts. The bots they make behave very mechanically.)
    Obviously no sane sentient being will continue attacking a mob & wasting potions on themselves while some random guy is trying to kill him.

    Expect to see quite a few seeker/mystic bots after the expansion.

    Also video evidence is best, screenshots generally show virtually nothing. Although as the vast majority of the botting population are rather unintelligent, quite a few of them slip up where screenshots will be enough proof.
    Best one I had was along the lines of: "I'm not botting, I'm using an auto potter which somehow magically makes my character kill mobs as well as just auto potting & didn't answer to your PM's because I was away from my computer on the phone." (I'm amazed the poor guy even managed to get his computer, PWI, and the bot program running.)

    PvE server, just record it (you'll generally notice a bot's predictable pattern/fact that they've been at the same spot for hours and hours/days and days) & ask questions. (have another friend ask as well since who knows, you might've been blacklisted by that person a long time ago.)
    Then if you're sure submit a ticket.

    Unfortunately, as me has already warned, PWI resources has been reallocated.

    Like, WHY?

    Geez. I might visit the sandlands again, see if anything's going on down there on dreamweaver - usually it's completely deserted. (Pun intended, but not actually funny.)

    But when u grind u probably pick up DQ's right? If ur bag is full u go to city and comeback. The ground full of **** and only picking coins means ur either dumb or a bot >.>
    You also don't 3 spark when mobs are almost dead and only grind on x range.
    Not to mention if u die 4 times coming from city u prob stop and buff up.
