Socket Stones required for Grade 15

Does anyone know how many socket stones it actually takes to get a Grade 15 Nirvana piece to have a 3rd socket if I was so unfortunate as to make one with only two? I am extremely paranoid about not getting three sockets and have given up on the idea of keeping four of them through Chienken stones, but I don't want to waste money cos I will be bankrupting all my merchant alts to do so.

The only evidence I found was one person in another post saying it was 8k for the 3rd socket but Asterelle countered by saying it was most likely 4800 stones.

Rank 12 TT90 takes 600 for the 3rd and 2000 for the 4th socket, so it would make sense the 3rd socket for nirvana would only be 4-5k. Now that I have seen many people create only two socket nirvana gear, I think someone should know the factual answer.

Advice about which path to take would be much appreciated as well: Do I gamble and see what I get? Should I just use 63 chien's to keep the 3rd socket (and btw, could you possibly still roll a 4th socket when using stones) or should I risk it and plan to use socket stones either way.

    4800, I also was unfortunate enough to get 2 sockets on my tier 2 nirvana legs.

    Perfect :) Thank you, what did you find was cheaper? Trying again or just using socket stones? If you did it again, would you just Cheinken three sockets?
