Looks like only one build?

From the PWI database I see they have the rank 9 weapon for the seeker, a sword (not a blade), but you can't click on it for detailed information yet. Now the stats needed to use the Nirvana lvl 100 sword are 250ish Str and 150ish Dex. The rank 9 should be about the same.

Looks like a 5 str 3 dex 2 vit build per two levels all the way to 100.

5 str every even lvl
3 dex 2 vit every odd lvl

b:victory

Any other ideas?
This class gonna use magic more maybe some in magic?

Light armor BMs are saying a light armor build might apply to the seeker; in that case I'd like to know the stats an endgame sword/blade would require.

As for magic, the general consensus so far seems to be that seekers won't require it because even their magic attack power is based on physical damage.

I have no first-hand information about this but I'm very interested in finding out more.

Also, do you think even levels should add 5 STR, or that it would be better to split e.g. 3 STR, 2 DEX then 2 STR, 1 DEX 2 VIT? Or another combination? What would be the pros and cons of each distribution between even/odd levels? Is there any specific requirement for STR or DEX that should be met at an even or at an odd level?

Forgive what may be some newbish questions... 1) Is the seeker's damage based off strength? I seem to recall at least some of their attacks are elemental, which makes me curious. 2) Does the seeker's role lean more towards tanking or DDing? I.E., would it be better to add extra points into str (for damage) or into vit (for HP)?

I haven't played a seeker on PW China so I can't answer first hand. But hearsay is that the seeker elemental skills are based on physical damage. Let's put it this way: a seeker does not wield a magical weapon, but a physical one. So it wouldn't make sense if its damage were based on MAG or required to split between MAG and STR.

As for tanking or DDing, as a barb player I bring to your attention that you won't tank unless you do enough damage to actually keep aggro. I think that endgame most players will favor a STR build with defense and HP coming from gear. On the road to endgame I am planning on adding VIT for better survivability during pulls/crowd control/solo. When you're in squad with 100+ 5 APS sin I think you won't be tanking, but playing support role and DD.

I'd love to hear what other people are planning to do and what seeker players on PW CN have already learned.

    3 Str 2 Dex - even
    4Str 1 Dex - odd
    DD build

    3 Str 2 Dex - even
    2 Str 3 Dex - odd
    Crit build? lol

And magic will not increase seeker damage so no need to put anything in magic.

people need to stop asking dumb questions.

without 5 aps you cant rip aggro from a decent barb.

archers deal metal dmg, but that doesnt mean they add mag.

    THINK STRAIGHT PEOPLE QQ

also, id recommend following a slightly altered sword bm build for a seeker. something like..capping vit at 50 then 3 str 2 dex until whenever you decide to stop lvling (shouldnt really stop till 105 imo).

Sword BM build will work great.

A LA variant is also possible post 74, when the defense level buff maxes and you have that to make up for your lost phys defense.

Of course the build can be tweaked:

5 str, 5 dex: kinda squishy with high accuracy and crit
5 str, 4 dex 1 vit: less squishy with good crit and high accuracy
5 str, 3 dex 2 vit (my build): good HP, ok crit, good accuracy
4str, 4 dex 2 vit: good HP, light armor, good crit, high accuracy
4str 5 dex 1 vit: decent HP, light armor, great crit, great accuracy
4 str, 6 dex: very squishy, low HP, light armor, even greater crit, awesome accuracy but kinda dumb

ya cause the archers and non 5aps sins dont steal agro with barb even now my bm isnt 5aps yet its 2.22aps unsparked and it still takes away agro from barbarchers deal metal dmg, but that doesnt mean they add mag.

Interesting.... But the high Dex builds might be a big mistake if it turns out that end game Seekers basicly are aoe throwers. Magic hits 100% (unless target is immune). Dex is meaningless. I think it would be best to go 5-3-2 and then once you figure out what the seeker does best remove the vit and put them in strength for magic attack or dex if you need to "hit".

Did I just say put points in strength for magic attacks... This should be a fun class. lol

im a bit curious is the much difference between if a seeker uses blade or sword, one would require more dex then the other and one will obviouly hit harder ...wouldnt that also change up what build is needed unless seekers stick w/ the 5-4-1 or 5-3-2

i also think most seekers would go blade since there is a higher chance of them dd'ing ... sword partially requires a balanced build...blade one sided on str dependent which hlps pk, ect..and add a dps of 2.2 would it hlp

No, what you do is, save up the points for 2 lvls. You'll have 10pts then.

Since I'm on PvP server, and it doesn't look like we'll get any anti stun skill anytime soon, Seeker without VIT will be sitting duck. I'm going 3 STR 2 DEX even level, 2 STR 2 DEX 1 VIT odd level. I'll see how that works then decide my endgame build from there.

Blade and sword are the same thing like claws and fists. They have they same attack speed and build, just one has wider range of attack. Both of them get the damage multiplier from STR.

Do 3/2 up to 15, afterwards switch to 3/2 even, 2/2/1 (str/dex/vit) it will work wonders.

I'm going 3str/2dex even, 3str/1dex/1vit... if I need more dex i can stat it out of vit. but its likely my char will never make it past 30 so it doesn't really matter. had a good time customizing it though. seekers are ugly b:sad

Newbie question here , but i'm going with the 3/2 even 2/2/1 odd build right now , but being as this is my only character I dont have any cash to pimp out my gear as i level. Woud it be better for me to stay with this build or go to a 2/2/1 every level for that extra 1 vitae since hp from gear might be difficult.

    Im personaly testing a 5str 3dex 1mag 1vit build ever 2 levels
    5str on the even lvls
3dex 1vit 1 mag, on the odd lvls

My seeker then again is only lvl 5 so.... meh, but yes Seeker uses Swords/blades (not 100% about the blades) im looking fordward to seeing more build ideas.

ok guys, lemmie show u how a tru pro handles someting like this.

First off, i hear you guy ssaying that 7/3 is the way to go with ABSOLUTE ZERO vit, and i was like "WAAHH, THESE GUYS CRAZY b:shocked"

then i hear that seekers aint ment to tank which actually backed up the 7/3 theory.
But then, at endgame, you're either pk'ing or doing high lvl stuff like nirvy or morai.

Either way, your gonna need some vit. So the ultimate solution to all your problems is....

capp your vit at 50-75 (your choice but i chose 50 for more points on str for DD'ing) then put dex on whatever the weapon your using or going to use needs THEN DUMP THE REST ON STRENGTH!!! (for max damage and mid-high surviability)
