PC game controllers

can they even be use for this game? if they can be used, is it easier than using the keyboard? it was just something i've been wondering.

EDIT- guess i had a noob moment there. What I should really be asking is, in your experience, which controllers work the best?

Friends don't pk their friends. However, it is okay to pk a friend that steals from you, is bossy or clingy, and somehow always ends up getting in the way.

    Much of it depends on what sort of controller you plan to use. The console type game pads (ex: logitech dual action gamepad, Saitek PS2700) lack the necessary number of buttons to effectively handle MMO game play . Keypads like the nostromo N52 and gaming keyboards tend to be a better option. I use an n52 for most games. Having everything on one hand and withing easy reach is more convenient than a full sized keyboard.
    Getting the key binds set up takes maybe 30 minutes, but once that's done it works very well.

    I don't use the macro functions, and from what I tell PWE frowns on players doing so.

    Thanks for the help. I will really want to look into getting a controller. It's hard to keep everything straight when I'm on a squad. Too much going on to worry about what letters my fingers are on and when i accidently x out of the browser.
