There's a plethora of assassins. Roll a cleric. They can always get squads.

Edit: Ok, real answer: Assassins are not cheap due to the need for -interval gear which you don't really need to worry about until lvl 90+. They don't have to be expensive unless you want the godlike 5.0 APS stuff you can read about in every other topic in this forum. I don't know the secrets of making coin in this game so I CS and sell gold. I have a job in RL which supports my addiction. If you plan on playing for free or spending very little $ on this game you probably do not want to make a sin for end game unless you are a very enterprising and creative person (which I admittedly am not).

Basically what Malekith said is true, but run a Sin if you do want - they're an amazing class either way. Yeah, they may be a little expensive during the end game period if you really want to own with -interval gear.

But no matter, Sins are a great and fun class to roll.
And no, they don't require as much funding as you may think, but they do require a little bit during 90+ to support a good toon.

EDIT: And actually, since Sins are the fastest killers in the game, they can grind on places like Nightscream and near Avalanche Canyon [ at higher levels ] to make a good amount of money. I usually make 150k - 200k in one hour at Nightscream, near Dreamweaver.

Assassins probably have the best growth of any class. Levels 1-20 are decently easy because they're from the tideborn expansion, but then 20-40 kind of suck. After that 40-90 become easier and easier.

The only downside is sins are reasonably gear based. Mid game you need refine and up to date gear because you'll have no (or little) points statted in vitality. Because of sins awesome damage they often get aggro and need gear for that.

Furthermore, sins are expected to have interval gear. Interval is expensive. You will be ridiculed if you do not have this gear. If you feel you can keep up with this deman then go sin. It's an awesome class and you will, in the end, make more money as a sin then any other class except maybe veno.

Other classes I would recommend that are less gear based are psychic and bm. Psychics are overpowered early game and an excellent class to learn the game with since you kill almost anything before it gets to you. Endgame it becomes more of a pvp char and less sought for in pve. BM's are sturdier. They start slower, but grow and grow. They have excellent endgame, although not as good as sins, but are sturdier.
Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory
