Why is speculation so bad about the new expansion?

As an old player who has played PWI for 2 years, it does not really matter whether there will be a new server, as I will be trying out the new race regardless.

Perfect world admins never said that there WONT be a new server. Speculation about it is not allowed? I am just wondering. Does this not hype up the expansion, with the rumors and such? The fact that the previous expansion came out with a new server just gets people curious.

Or is it a straight-foward question about the existence of a new server not allowed?

the reason most threads are locked is plain and simple there are 50 different threads about the same exact thing.

Also, as long as they don't CLEARLY make a statement that a new server will be released, THERE WON'T BE ONE.

the same question about new servers being in every other post is not allowed. anyone asking the question who thinks they are the first to consider such a thing needs to cash a reality check.

most of these threads are locked with advice to USE THE BLEEDING SEARCH to find the current situation - which is "no plans at this time" i.e you will find out about a new server when the GMs tell you and not before, the same way as you find out about sales or which of the fashion available in china will be next in our boutique.

It's pretty much what these guys here said. The official answer is that there are no plans at the moment and if that changes, PWE will make an announcement.

The question is a legitimate one, however, there have been dozens and dozens of topics asking it for the past few weeks, and searching the forums beforehand ("new server" is all you need for keywords) can help hold the spam.
