Hello. I'm currently dealing with some major drama on heavens tear. I'm being stalked. What is it when you befriend someone that they think they can say or do what they want. This player is having his entire faction keep an eye on me. If I make a new character he looks me up on the forums and then follows me. Always aking "What ya doin sexy". >.>
Anyways I'm going to make another account *sighs*. That part I'm ok with. But I'm going to be a sin. Ever since I've watched them in action I've wanted one.
I know the gear they wear is light armor. I know they start with really good quest gear. I only have a few questions. How long will I keep that quest gear? Until level 30 rep gear?
Also I've read over the guide but it seems there are people saying many different things. Is the build 1str 4dex like an archer? Or do I just take enough str for gear and rest into dex?
What skills do I want to focus on first? Thanks so much and sorry I'm burdoning you with my little story. Any ideas on what server is best. I don't pvp so they are out. Thankies. b:cryb:sad

Go to RT lol nah its overpriced and at that lvl gear isnt really a problem and yes thats a pure dex build just like archers 1 str and 4dex0

Keep the gear till your rank 1 armor, and then after that try to stick with 3* armor when you can.
For the build, it depends. If you are good at making money, go full Dex. If not, put about 40 Vit in, then reset at end game if you would like.
For the skills, I'd just focus on Tackling Slash, Rib Strike, Stealth skills, and Puncture Wound. Once you have those maxed, level the rest. Those are the only skills you should even need until 60+.
Once you start doing TT, then max Wolf Emblem and Focus Mind. After that, level as you like till 80+. At 80+, level your AoE skills so you are much more useful in FC.
Since you won't be doing PvP, don't bother with Sharp Observer.
As far as server, any are fine really. Arch is small and quiet, the other servers are noisy, but populated, so it is easier to get squads on them.0 -

1. Take screenshots of him pming/chatting you up. Send in a ticket. Harrasment is a bannable offence.
2. Quest gear --> Rank 4 --> TT 70 gear (with rank 4 chestpiece) --> Gold bracers + rank + TT80 --> TT90 + Gold bracers -- > TT99 gold is usually what happens , more infor is to be found in other posts like GUIDES.
3. Usual builds : pure dex, enough str for gear. Or str enough for gear, a bit of vit (not recommended), rest all dex. NEVER MAG.
4. Skills to focus on : read the guides. Way to many info on skills to help you out here.
5. personal preference : Dreamweaver (PVE server). Lots of nice folks, not much drama (unless morons on WC) and lots of factions to choose from.
Have fun.0 -
Sorry to hear the drama I'm on HT too but.. I'm a guy so that makes things a bit less stalkerish for me.
Here is one of my favorite guides that I rely on for skills.
http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=714012
And I use this one for telling me which skill is best for what (since I'm on Lost City I do pay attention to the PvP recommended skills)

Gear. Right now I'm just going with what I pick up if its better. Like the lvl 20 chest plate for LA has better defense on it then the quest gear so I shoved that on. I do lose the dex and vit from the quest gear, but the defense (to me) was worth it. Most sins use rank gear lvl 60 (.-05 int if I remember right) and then endgame I see everyone with either TT99 pants or Nirvana with the rank chest plate due to the -.10 int.
I'd go pure if you can afford to shard. Though, due to being poor every 5 levels I put one vit on until I get around 20-25 vit then I'll go back to being pure dex. I plan to shard endgame gear good, but not shard stuff with perfects+ until the end. I'm not that rich b:chuckle
Honestly, I love HT. The ONLY reason I went to Lost City was due to wanting to try PvP. But what he is doing is lame. Definitely prnt scrn him and report him. Get the creepers off our server xD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Well I have some good news. And I'm really happy this happened. I was moving my stuff over to a boy character I made to make him think I was really a boy. It didn't work as the faction we were in had my pics in there. >< So again it started with him messaging me.
I did exactly what the above poster suggested. I started taking pics of what he was typing. I was flying in archo and noticed a gm sitting by a pool of water in central archo. heehee. Well he was following me. To make this short and get back on topic I talked to the gm and told me how to give them the pics. Apparently the gm warned him to stop bothering me. The gm's name was hisunshine ^^. Such a cute name.
He sent me a mail and stated his apology that he really liked me blah blah. I replied kindly telling him that stalking isn't liking someone. He has left me alone since. Thank you for suggesting that to me.
I read the guides and it said not to level wolf emblem. I use it quite a bit and focused mind. It really helps. I don't understand why they'd say not to level it. I don't have anything else good to spend my spirit on. Unless it wants me to save my spirit for tackling slash and throat cut at level 29. I'm currently 27. What would you all do with wolf emblem and focused mind?b:cute *huggles*0 -

Ignore the guides. Some of them even suggest you level VIT instead of just STR/DEX...THOSE CURS.
Demon/Sage Wolf Emblem are both disgustingly useful, and Wolf Emblem/Focused Mind were both maxed on my character right after Rib Strike when they were available. For general PVE, I'd actually suggest you level Rib Strike > Focused Mind > Wolf Emblem in that order, with Slipstream being extremely helpful in lower levels, too. (And higher levels, also, since Sage/Demon Slipstream hits like a damn freight train--very helpful in one-shotting squishies with Chill of the Deep before you reach high APS, and can easily one-shot a Sacrificial Strike mob if you crit with Wolf Emblem up.)
At higher levels, the bonus to crit damage from Wolf Emblem is noticeable. Ultimately, though, you'll want most every skill you can afford leveled save for Raving Slash/Twin Strike/Puncture Wound, although even Puncture Wound is helpful during lower levels. It comes down to how you play your Sin to decide which skills to level first, though.0 -
Wolf Emblem and Focused Mind are useful, but I didn't bother maxing them until I started doing TT. I didn't even bother with Slipstream at all until I could max it, and now it is just used as a filler between other skills in PvP. The only skills I find you really need to level are Tackling Slash, Rib Strike, and Dagger Devotion, especially on a PvE server. Rib Strike of course because you slow down physical attacks, but Tackling Slash also has another use other than stopping those pesky runners. You can actually use it on mobs that do only physical melee attacks, then run right under them and attack. While you are there, they cannot attack you, so you are actually taking less damage.
All of the guides have their uses. However, just remember that they are guides, not instructions. They give advice only, they are not though the end all of the forums.0
