    eh, idunno. one friday i squadded with two guildies and ran the event until the mobs got too tough for me to handle; even with all the crazy-*** KSing i still made 300k coin and 12% or so exp. i imagine the end-gamers make a lot more, but that wasn't a bad friday evening for me --- i wouldn't mind more of those.

    Soooo... There's a little recap on several years ago, compared to before the devs worked on Earthguard. The Christmas Event was broken two years ago, there wasn't a valentines event last year, and the Christmas Event this year was just snowmen, snow, and lag. I can't think of any other events that have been held recently WORTH NOTING, the Friday events are for endgame players, and as of right now... I've quit PWI for the time being, and never made it there, so whatever.

    I seem to remember a lot of forum feedback, back then, that called these events "Fail".

    I do not know how many of those unhappy people we still have with us, but I remember them being very noisy back then.

    The first Christmas Event was slightly bugged, but it did get fixed in the middle of the event. The snow and Snowmen did lag the major cities. And at that time, there was CONSTANT QQ about 'ban the LAGCATS, they are useless, blah blah, I want my FPS back in Arch, blah blah", so QQ was pretty common back then anyway. I think everyone either just enjoyed the Christmas event, or avoided the big cities.

    I wasn't around for the Valentines event.

    I did see the Chinese New Year boss get killed, though, and that was fun. There were also quests outside the city that gave neat stuff, and nobody complained about that, IIRC.

    that event was absolutely hysterical! while i didnt have anyone to pick flowers for me (husband wasnt in the game at that time), it was hilarious to watch the guys, tushies waving in the air, or tiger tails, all madly trying to pick enough flowers before some idiot pulled Jewel down on top of them! i was never there during one of the attacks (saw it on YouTube later), it was funny to sit there and listen to them chatter.b:laugh

    i hope they do this again...but in a safer location!

    But actually, we did try to get this event in for this Valentines, but as has been the case for a few other events we wanted to have, the devs' focus on Genesis made its implementation impossible. We'll definitely try to run it next year, though, if not an even better built-in Valentines Event (as if anything could possibly be better..)

    You do realize that translates directly in to: We are too greedy to waste time on anything fun for our users unless it makes us money, right?

    Seriously, other than the mob luring adding some excitement, it wasn't a very fun event at all. It was just click click click click click click click click click endlessly, doing absolutely nothing else. After 45 minutes people would start begging for somebody to lure Jewel, because the event was otherwise mind-numbingly dull.

    This is an MMO... You kill mobs, run TT, run FCC, and right click oracles all day long. How is it not mind-numbingly dull anyway? b:shocked

    It was the worst event ever. Idiote task, lots of evil players who pulled jewel there, and plenty servercrash. They should do more event like celestial tiger event but never event which is like that idiote valentine event. b:angry

    My other game, as well as running/owning several others, is releasing an xpac towards the end of this month. Afew 100 quests, near 500 new mobs, whole new zone about 1/4 the size of the pwi world, 6 or 7 new endgame instances, class tweaks to help combat inbalance etc etc. They are also in beta for a new game too I believe.
    They gave us a valentines day event, with a new quest line, temp instance, special titles, house items, and a pink unicorn which the gf is obsessed with getting >.<

    If my other game can do that, what's it say about the staff here...not directed to GM staff ofc b:cute

    No event? Of course the mmo I'm playing has a huge event at the moment with a ton of special quests and extra items. Same with any other decent mmo. Emphasis on the word decent. Surely PWI must be losing quite a few players by now, don't you guys get bored of the same old content and nothing new ever added? ^^ Oh well, back to my mmo I guess.

    Well we already know PWI doesn't run events if it doesn't earn them cash, what did we get for our Halloween event? an NPC that exchanged guardian angels for a *prize* to get a mount or a flyer...basicaly, they were test running packs and they went down like hot cakes, yes we could of gave the same npc 100k instead of a guardian angel but it was more profitable to use the angels and the GMs knew that me thinks, anyway here we are 1 year later with a pack infested game and no *good* events to make the game fun.

    It means the staff here isn't into pink unicorns. :(
