Glacial Walker?

Wtf is the Glacial Walker doing being so good as a tank? When I started playing (in 2008...) everyone was like "GET THE MAGMITE IT PWNS" and then I saw a Glacial Walker today and looked it up, and it apparently has better stats? ANGRY FACE. When did this occur? How can I get a Glacial Walker to my level, fast?

Is the petite sawfly still the best free aerial pet, or was that a lie too?

Then the glacial walker came out, and is a bit better.

If you are the level 36 your avatar suggest then yes, it is easy to grow a walker quickly, just use it as normal.

If you're bigged, as your 2008 suggests, then you should already know about the mouse-bashing room.

I am what my avatar says, I just goes months without playing. So would you personally recommend scrapping my Magmite and getting the Walker? And about how long would you say it will take to level it up to 36?

walkers start out at level 19, so it's about a 2-for-1 catch-up you'd have to play with it. if you just use it as normal, it'll probably be caught up by the time you hit level 45-50 or so.

you can't use the cube until you're level 40, but if you jump into mice bashing as soon as that opens, you could have it your level before you hit 41.

although really, i'm not sure if the walker's all THAT much better than the magmites. a little bit on magical mobs, perhaps, but it's not earthshaking.

You can easily do it in an evening, if you're training on mobs that give pet max xp. I leveled a Dark Wanderer from starting point (level 10) to ~50 in a couple evenings of grinding.

magmites are still a viable pet, walkers are just a bit tougher, making them a slightly better tank.

A walker is lvl19 to start, so you only have to gain 17 lvls, just have it kill everything in sight, it will level up fast b:chuckle

OP I read alot of posts about the Crystaline Magmite. I see alot of veno's still using them as they like them better. It's all about what you want to use. As for me hun I love my walker. Walkers are located north of Raging Tides city. Easiest way for me was(didn't have flying mount at the time) go through the temple right behind the elder. Keep going north. You'll climb up over a big wall. Eventually you'll run right into them. But with you being level 37 you might be able to tame it without having to attack it because you may end up one shotting it heehee. Good luck! *Huggles* b:cute

even easier way to find the glacial walkers: just east of raging tides city is a road running south to north. it starts from raging tides' southern city gates, but you can just jump off the city walls near the elder and go east. follow the road north. :-)

Alternatively, seeing as the OP is over level 30, they could just fly right to them lol.

I asked this a while back, as I returned from not playing for several years, and everyone said that while the Glacial Walker is better, the Magmite will serve just as well. And I must say, I agree, because right now I don't want to spend the time power leveling another tank pet when I have one that works just fine.
