Genie Question

Sorry if this has been discussed but I couldn't find anything when i clicked search in here.

I know how to level a genie and her skills; relatively easy, right.

How do you increase a genie's ENERGY though? (Not stamina).

All my characters genies' are 105 energy. How can that be upped?

    deposit your genie's point into vit :D it should then increase

    Genies have attribute points like the characters themselves do.
    They're Str, Dex, Vit & Mag
    Str & Dex affect skills, read the skill descriptions to see how they do so.
    Vit increases the energy by 1 point per vit point.
    Mag increases the genie energy regen by 0.02 points/sec/point (this sounds ridiculously tiny, but is actually nice to have a lot of!)

    Note that point costs double after 40 points
    So yeah, add to vit

    This is not EXACTLY true.

    They start doubling cost somewhere around 40, depending on the genie's stat point affinities.

    IE, the genie that starts with 15 magic points won't start requiring 2 stat points to gain 1 more magic point until 45, IIRC. At least, this is the way it works with my genies. I was confused and bewildered by this at first, but it sorta makes sense. The tooltip should be updated to reflect this, and I've been lazy on suggesting it via a ticket.

    I think he meant after 40 points that you put INTO it.... my white one didnt' need 2 pts till hit it 55 vit, or was it the zeal... whichever ones start with 15 vit. I tihnk you're missing ten points there trying to remember when yours started.

    so i was wondering (and if there is a place that talks about this please tell me) whats the best way to start off with a genie? what direction to go. i have a barb and i dont even use my genie. mostly cause i'm confused about what i should do with it.
    any pointers?

    the best way to start off with a genie is to open up the genie skill list and spend way too much time hovering your mouse over them all, reading the skill descriptions, and wondering "how might i use that in my gaming?". ecatomb has a copy of this online at http://www.ecatomb.net/pwi/genieskill.php as well.

    once you have a wish list, hop over to Asterelle's genie planner at http://astersite.webfreehosting.net/pw/genieskillplanner.html and figure out which ones you can actually get, given the various level restrictions and whatnot that are likely to apply. then build your genie's affinity points to support the skills you both want and can afford, before you take the thing to the watcher of the earth to learn the skills.

    as a barb, you likely want a healing skill (probably second wind) as well as the solid shield skill. you may want earthquake, and you'll probably want to be building affinities with alpha male in mind for a skill to get eventually. lots and lots of people get holy path, but since you're a barb, you might be fast enough anyway to forgo that. (or not. i love it on my veno, which you'd think is plenty fast, but...)

    the genie's starter skills can not be leveled up, but they can be unlearned to make room for something else. the only one of them that's worth much is the zeal genie's earthflame, for non-veno luring.
