A preset is character model that is given to you as you start off playing the game as a base for building your own character. On the forums, it's commonly used to describe characters that look similar to these default models.

But what do presets look like? Why were your characters called a preset?

Remember, being called a preset does NOT mean your character is ugly or unattractive, simply that there are probably many other players you do not know sporting that same look. Other times it's just what posters say to mean they feel you could have spent a little more time customizing your character.

Being a "preset" can also be used to describe a common look that many players use that are not given at the beginning of the game.

Here's several presets that the game provides, as well as "overused" looks. New colors, hair, or slight modification to structure often do not merit enough to categorize a character to be "unique, new, creative."

XD awsome. Most offenders are usualy Tideborn or Venos. my suspicion is that Elf presets for example are so ugly not MANY people would leave their look even if they were very very lazy

I wish they would let you change your Tideborn's mouth a bit more like on other races x_x''' Its hard to give them a unique look sometimes. XDDD & i see a lot of similar looking veno's too xP

I was actually going to post something similar to this on the old abandoned "Beauty" contest as it did my head in that i saw so many freaking presets...i'm tempted to just make a new thread similar to the ones that are already up for *post your picture etc", steal these example pictures, and hope to god no tool posts there preset **** up there for everyone to see and expect to get rated...
