Just saying, after all it's still a fun class to play. There are too many existence defying threads in this forum, for good reasons of course. So who else is still having fun despite all the disadvantages? :)

    I will always be a wizard. I was born a wizard, and I will die a wizard. Even if no one wants to res me. b:lipcurl I spent way too long getting to my level to just start over with one of the new classes. b:cold I still like being a wizard, but I hate how this game is so unfair to wizards. b:cry

    yeah, I love my wizard too.
    But honestly, 5 aps classes are at least as much fun.
    My BM is quite happy with his 5aps.
    This morning I took the dog in 45 down in 35secs. My wizard takes about 6 times as much to do the same job.
    Truth is , I can't play my BM in PvP or TW. I just lack the skills. I don't ..."feel" the class ...With my wiz however, well that's different :).
    Afk macro on TT bosses to grab a beer or something, come back, pick-up mats, go to next, afk again, read PWI or TeamLiquid forum, or watch day9tv daily ...hey, aps just has its benefits.

    In the end, if you want a great wizard you need a aps class to sponsor it. Before -int it was Veno, now it's BM/Sin. I stopped investing in my wiz right now cause I want to see what genesis brings out, but otherwise my wiz would have been at 7.5k HP, 9k pdef with a +10 r8 wep <-- self buffed stats.

    Haha, yea Ursa, I know what you are talking about. This is my 5 aps sin I use for farming and other PVE stuff. But I have way more fun playing my wiz in PVP. PVP as sin is just lame. And I am sure I am not very skilled on this toon either.

    It's no wonder you feel your wizard better, after all you have been playing one for ages. I remember talking to you about the right cultivation choice when I was in my low 80s and you were in your late 90s, before Hypers. I think you were still in Calamity back then. b:chuckle

    Aa yes the choise of cultivation.

    I remember everyone asking at lvl 80, what do I pick. And the smart awnser would be: You still have months before 89, take your time and figure out what suits you best

    And yea I to love my class. I played the archer of my GF some time ago when she was on a break. It's soo much more powerful (sage with 4aps), but it's like... I died ALL the time cause I had no clue about the amount of aggro it builds, how to stay alive, ect ect.
    On my wiz: I know when I'm about to take aggro, exactly what to do when I do steal aggro, what I can tank.

    Yesterday I had to kite Monoblat in abaddon after the squad wiped.
    Saw the wipe coming, hit fire shield and got ready to run. Second time I had to do it already.
    I love seeing the most OP sins I know drop from his aoe, while he hits me for 700 dmg

    well, I don't expect to be as skilled as someone who play a melee class for 2 years, that's why my BM does what it does: Farm.
    I played Wizard, cleric then 5 aps bm. All of them at 100+. I'm only good being a wizard. That's the char where I feel at ease with. It's like second nature. Like SirR said, I know everything what happens, everything is under control at all times. I know if I'm gonna die or not, take decision if it's worth it or not, so on and so forth. I know at each split second what can I do and what trade-off is a good one for me or squad, without doing math, without looking at squad HP, without waiting for a cleric heal, etc. I just know.
    I played Archer and BM on private server, I played a friend's cleric 100+ in PWI for quite a while. I'm not saying I'm the mother of all wizards, but I'm helluva' lot better playing wiz than on any other class in PWI.
    Will I ever stop playing it? No, well, not unless PWI makes wizards absolutely useless. They aren't good for many things now, let's see what expansion brings in.

    I switched from bm as main to wiz and never regretted it (farming with bm tho). Even with those nasty op sins around wiz is an awesome class. b:chuckle

    wiz is very good in PvP and epic in TW, which is all I need to make me happy b:cute

    and tbh, we're probably up there with barbs and bms in terms of surviving stealth ganks, ijs b:avoid

    Going demon (spark and demon quaff) and getting -chan gear have definitely improved my gaming experience playing wizard. It is fun yet challenging. My wiz had to take on a same level sin and a 99 veno (with nix) in a 3 way pk challenge for directorship of our faction and it was so much fun playing on my wiz. I still ended up losing (die 3 times and you're out) and am now back to being Marshall but I didn't get wiped as I expected to. In fact I was able to kill the sin twice and the veno once before they got the better of me.

    That said I really wish the developer would do something for the wizard class to make it more appealing. Life isn't easy as a wiz especially when you constantly get passed up for sins/bms when it comes to FC instances. Also its not fun watching other classes getting to solo TT for coin while there is no instance I can really solo to make some cash. I know some of you say raise a farming alt and I do suppose my 93 bm could be made to be my farming alt however I love my wiz and no longer have the zeal to play my bm, Perhaps developers could make a more mage friendly instance or one where mages are needed more than aps classes.

    I lurve my psy more.

    I still miss BIDS, BT, FoW, blink. At least I can beat +12 r9 sins 1v1 :3

    make him run duo frost runs with our alts till he hits 104 :P
