Pangu, The begining of the world:
At the begining of the world, sky and earth mix together. There was a giant, name Pangu. He used his axe and separate Ying and Yan. The dark side was earth, and the clear side was sky. Pangu became the most ancient god of the world. He relax himself and his body separated. He's breath became wind and cloud. He's voice became thunder. He's eyes became sun and moon. He's hair became stars. He's body became mountains. He's blood became lake and sea. He's bone became gold and iron. He's sweat became morning dew.

Begining of Gods:
After Pangu's body became mountain and river, sun and moon, his spirit got separated into thousands pieces. Although they all came from single spirit, there were huge difference between their power.
Some stronger spirits built a place called "heaven". They lived there and absorb the power of sun and moon. Every creatures from the below called those spirits "gods".
The spirits originally had no name. But because of language different, one god had thousands of name and temple. The "Destoryer" god for example, in east it was called "Susanoo", in south it was called "Shiva", and in the west it was called "Diablo".
The highest level of gods, except Ying and Yan, were the gods of five elements. They control the five basic elements of the world "metal, wood, water, fire, earth", and balance each others. According to what they were called in China, the name of the five elements god were: God of Earth Shen Nong; God of Water Gong Gong; God of Metal Ru Shou; God of Fire Zhu Rong; God of Wood Ju Mang.

Rise of the Human
As the stronger spirits entered heaven, the weaker spirits stay on earth and suffer from beasts and disaster. The soil slowly accumulate, after a long time, the flesh body begin to form, and the first spirit took shape of a "Human".
Human shared the spirit of Pangu with the gods, it was lucky and not lucky. The wheel of fate had destined the blood bonded relateship between human and gods while they were also enemy at the same time.
After the Bloody Flood (Noah's Ark -.-) occured, the normal humen who didn't get the guide of the gods were desserted in this world, while the cultivators with spiritual power were brought to Perfect World. The human race continued in Perfect World.
With the gifted creative mind, and the hunger for power, human soon became the ruler of Perfect World. Between the year of 2699 to 2754, five largest cities were found by human in Perfect World, telling the domination of human in this land, the five cities were known as "Cities of Five Emperors".
In the eastern land, the power of human faced the challenge of the Winged Elf. Due to the conflict of Heaven's Tear, a "Thousand Years War began, and became one third of Perfect World's history.

This makes me wonder if the name PanGu is fictional and specific to the PW storyline, or actually has roots in Chinese culture.
