Barbs lv 99/100+ can't hold aggro off DDs anymore. They have become mostly useless for their primary role of tanks.

This was due to changes introduced in the game (e.g. rank gear, 5 APS). The effect of these changes can be balanced by a simple tweak:

Increase the hate effect of Flesh Ream.

Aggro is based on a priority list that is affected both by damage and by hate (AKA revenge). The barb's aggro skills are based around increasing the hate of the mob towards the barb. So even if the barb's damage output will still be lower than a 5 APS sin or BM, if the hate modifier that is applied to the Flesh Ream skill is raised, the mob will keep aggro on the tank.

What i hate most of the assassins is their natural arrogance.

Ever heard of "I dont just want to rule over everybody like a 6yo child would want, i'd just like to play peacefully my game and my role?"
If you happy wanna be, against the wind you won't have to pee.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he's a psy. More so, it was a sarcastic joke.

Back on topic, though.. This would be a good idea. Since barbs are a rare species now. It was suggested in another thread that they should in fact introduce more passive skills and more mastery skills. One of the suggested mastery skills for barbs was one that increased threat level, which I think is a wonderful idea.

my mistake, but fishes are all the same anyway

psychics just found out too late that they're not OP as they wanted to be in endgame so their initial arrogance may be diminished a little

Just so you're aware.. This post is somewhat hypocritical.

The main problem with only increasing the hate effect would be that a) it wont hinder sins from replacing barbs as tanks because of more DD + perma sparking even if the barb would be able to hold the aggro. I mean people will always prefer a DD who can tank + hold aggro at the same time. So it's not only the barbs skill which needs a boost but also the aps madness has to be limited

    fixed

    the old days...
    barb was tanking...
    cleric was healing...
    bms/veno were supporting and dding
dds were paying attention not to get aggro...
nobody was dieing when paying attention...

nobody would have thought about making a squad with only dds...

    THE GAME WAS "BALANCED"

now we got permaspark 5aps and rank8/9 hypernoobs that do as much damage as possible, get aggro, can't tank a few hits(with their **** called armor) until the barb gets aggro back, die and qq about it...b:shutup
i am waiting for you my little flagcarriers b:kiss

    this^

the tank exists only because DDs are squishy and DDs exist only because the tank hits for ****.

currently, the top barbs in the tiger event have MORE points => MORE dmg than the top wizzies/psys

i know there are 5 aps fist barbs already and they deal awesome dmg + got the surviveability but the thing is pwi makes the class specific barb skills only available when the barb wears axes poleaxe so in my opinion that's a clear indication which weapon a barb should wear. Unfortunately barbs who go for a dex build hold better aggro with their fists then they could with their skills which were intended to make barbs keeping the aggro. I dont like that all basic principles of balance and functionality are getting messed up here. It's the same problem with magical DDs lagging far behind their physical equivalents
