    The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

    However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

    And grass and most other plants are green because they contain a pigment known as chlorophyll.

    Now that those questions are answered....How about those Packers?

    Correct. Football is a sport which you play 99% with your foot. Rugby is the sport where the player carries the ball, or kicks, into/past the oppositions goal line. Handball was already taken by another sport I believe.

    American football is a sport where Americans forgot where their foot was 150 years ago, and so it carried on today through force of habit. In some southern states, they still aren't sure. Poor players on $100k's per week must get frustrated at all the tea breaks they get during the game. But then again, a portion of them are criminals, so they enjoy yard time with their chums.

    But I could just be talking bollocks, in the case, hello. b:cute

    i've learned that most anything can be changed with enough time and patience. i can be verrrrrrrrrrry patient in waiting to get what i want ;)

    besides, when i just sit back and take things as they are... life tends to like to walk all over my carebear self.

    Hope has more than one meaning.

    Knightdarksoul has a good point, if you just sit there and hope for something to happen, good luck. But that is the wishful verb form of hope. A better definition: "to feel that something desired may happen"

    There is a noun form of hope, which I believe is the one being referred to by the others. A definition for that: "the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best"

    Make a little more sense now?b:cute

    Hope is wishing something would happen. Faith is believing it will happen. Courage is making it happen.

    So why not deal away with the first 2 and just make something happen

    true, hope has many meanings even for same person. But IMO hope is when things do not depend on your actions at all or at least not directly.
    "I hope for a better life" = i hope something changes and ill have a better life or i hope something changes and i can take action for a better life...
    "i want a better life" = i will take action to change something in my life and make it better.

    Hope exists in everyone when we realize there is not much we can do to change something to be better for us. Yes, hope been keeping us going when things turn out bad and we cant help it. But relying on hope and hope only aka waiting endlessly for someone else to do something and change things for us blinds us most of the times and stops us from seeing other opportunities that WE have to change something in our lifes.

    Hope is good but hope can be bad too. it is up to us how much we hope and how much we take action or when we stop hoping and start doing things.

    my 2 cents on hope. and yes i do hope for so many things b:chuckle
