Begin Rant:

Got disconnected outside west arch when I was playing on my little veno at my friends. When I managed to log back into the game 30 minutes later, my veno was still alive but her quest reward charm had gone from 10K/10K down to 30/10K yet she wasn't killed by whatever attacked her WHILE I was disconnected b:surrender

I raised a ticket asking very nicely if the support team would replace the quest reward I had recieved BUT lost while i was NOT actually in the game.

Their response?

No we can't send you a charm (not sure if that is can't as in won't because I am pretty sure they CAN send players anything they like within reason, virtual pixels cost them nothing after all). Anyway they claim it was my hardware/software/network/isp that was to blame, despite the fact my friend has used the same hardware/software/network/isp to play the game for 2 and half years without this sort of disconnect.

I know disconnects are bound to happen, of course they do. But the issue is that while I was disconnected my character was still playing apparently. Suppose I should consider myself lucky i didnt get banned for botting!

I should have taken the forum's general advice regarding support tickets and not bothered.

The same thing happen a lot even on other publisher game.
There was one game that had item (cash shop) to save you from dying, but will disappear each time used.

Imagine those who disconnected with 100 of those ? b:bye

What i learned when play that game is . . don't borrow that item when not in a squad.
But on PW charm is bound.

Well basically it's isp or internet connection fault though . .
And that charm is free anyway b:surrender
(quest reward to help and advertise their cash shop charm, giving it's for free because of request is kinda defeat the purpose)

yeah I know it's free - still doesnt change the fact I didnt get any use out of it personally.

But I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask. I was more annoyed at their response about the isp stuff though, because my friend was playing on his pc in the other room at the same time and didnt disconnect, and as I said he has used that pc and this one for 2.5 years without this kind of disconnect happening.

If an online game can't tell you're not connected after 30 minutes it's fail on a developer's part. 5-10 might be acceptable, but if a server isn't getting an active signal after half an hour?

...Ah well. Yet one more reason on the list of "Why I don't play PWE products."

Uhh. If its been more than a few minutes since disconnect without being told you've disconnected, the thing I'd do would be to force log out.

You can't expect management to compensate for your charm ticking when that feature is available.

Did you even READ the op? They got disconnected from the game and could not log back in even with Force Log option. Nothing about them still being in the game after being disconnected... but their character was still there as a ghost. For 30 Minutes or at least long enough to run out their charm.

Lucky it was a quest reward one but imagine how would you feel if that had been your platinum HP charm you had just equipped. Then you got D/C couldnt get back in for ages and when you finally did you found your charm almost gone.

I am sure you wouldnt be singing the "management shouldnt be expected to compensate" tune then..

Where does it say he/she couldn't get out with force log? I saw nothing mentioning that.

And you really don't know anything about me, yet you assume these cute little things which you throw as accusations with no basis in fact.
First off,I used to play this game on a terrible pc, with terrible net. Dcing to the point that it became very hard for me to level. I was not only repeatedly charm *****, but killed many times due to dcing. In fact 98% of my deaths at the time where from my Dcing. But I didn't complain to management. I knew it wasn't their fault. I also learned the wonder of force log.

So yes. I know what loss from Dcing is.
You know what I did? I dealt with it.
