FC alt leveling

How does it actually work??? Me and guildies have been doing runs with alts trying to find the best exp rate for the guildies. Bringing them in on different bosses, hypers, exp room, differences in levels, how it affects the people involved. Like what is the exp loss for the highest and lowest level people in the squad.


Anyways while we are trying to figure this out saw someone broadcasting in world chat saying fc alt run need puller. Pmed them and asked some questions (no help what so ever) but they did tell me they got one alt from 1-60 in a day on fc's. So from the professional lvlers who claim 1-100 in a week... How do you do it???b:surrender

Clear to heads. Leave squad for alt. Alt hyper solo heads, cash in.

tbh this FC alt leveling is kinda silly. It's not that hard to power level anymore, and this has got to be the most idiot-proof method.

What really makes me sad is the "Alt FC 95+ main LF cleric, alts lvl 80-90".

Yeah, cause a level 80-90 party would totally get wasted in FC. People are getting that lazy anymore? CBF to do an FC at the intented level range, or are that bad at their class that they can't?

You dont get that much from only soloing heads tho, specially if its just 1-2 lower lvl chars since they lack interval/range/accuracy etc and wont get that many mobs. I mean if you're like level 3X-5X you cant even kill the heads solo and you will miss half the time.

I guess it depends on how many runs you do each day tho. If you're doing 10 runs with 1 activation each i would have the lowbie char hyper entire big room including boss and the big pull. Just killing everything with a high lvl char - you still get massive exp. Than keep hyper running and have all high levels log of when its time for heads, let at least 3 lowbies solo heads to get more than 20 kills b:chuckle

If i only did 1-2 runs for a lowbie i have them hyper a few bosses to. Its still like 40% - 1 level if you're below 6X. Doesn't matter if someone in party is 100+.

There is a pretty noticeable exp loss for everyone when its around 20 level difference in a party. Hard to say exactly how much since 100+ char gets majority of exp from all kills, but the lowbie keeps perma dinging anyway if he uses hypers b:shocked.

So, they pretty much just can't be effed to actually play the character they're leveling

Would the amount of time saved be that comparable to the amount of EXP lost from all the other FC spots you hyper? You wouldn't get EXP from some of the bosses, or the larger Pulls that are done. That there could rank up close to half the EXP per run IIRC, versus just doing the heads.

80-85 is kinda tricky; not many fc squads take those levels especially if it is a unwanted class

Its not b/c people dont know how to play, but the laziness i guess is true. Experienced players with good gear dont like to do play their 8X alts together with other 8X mains b:chuckle

In 8X parties people have low hp, horrible gear and bad dps, not fully upgraded skills, wrong genie (at least compared to endgame chars). Frost will take a while. If you're use to drive a 5.0 Mercedes and do Frost in 20 min, its pretty frustrating doing the same thing playing your 8X psychic instead, for example. So people rather rush Frost with other 100+ while having their 8X alts leech exp on follow. Its more about effectiveness and speed than anything else.

But all 7X-8X constantly nagging/QQ-ing about not getting power-leveled in Frost is getting pretty annoying. I mean its easy to lvl without Frost before 80.

end of that... Its one of the tests we did... Exp loss was down by 50% for everyone in involved 99 archer, 95 barb, 94 cleric, 94 wiz, 81 bm and 67 barb ( I think) dropped the bm (mine) half way through and brought in a 42 sin (alt) exp rate stayed the same for all involved at the reduced rate. However on another run without the 67 barb and was on the 81 bm, Exp rates went up a little... Like I said we are still tweaking it and trying to figure out the exact math to it. There has to be a formula somewhere.


I played this whole thing (92 bm) without bh's, fc, pq, (even marriage quests were not in game yet) on a different version of pwi (not private server). Came to pwi after all that and started all over... I am getting bored with the lvling and I am so lazy at this point that yes... I want the fastest easiest way to lvl my newest char which is the sin.

I WC'ed for someone to squad to open to solo today (with BM), and a 97 bm asked me if i could power level him.... true story.

I ran a FC, my first one yey!, with 75-85 squad. We died a few times here and there but we were still learning. Yea, we also wasted 3 hours inside x.x , but it isn't impossible.

If you're good at at FF it's easy enough alt leveling someone with a 100+ sin soloing everything. However, if you don't have a sin (well in my case before my sin hit 100 we started this) my wife and I used a combo of my BM + her cleric to level her lowbie barb and my cleric + her BM to level my 2nd veno. When it was time to kill the heads that spawn we logged both our 100s off and watched in hilarity as we leveled like mad on them. Some bosses when using hyper also leveled the nubs 2 and 3 times. Basically we got the veno in her run from 1 to 38 and the barb from 1 to 46. Beats the **** out of oracles.

Lily on this case i think is more a money issue than a power lvl thing at least for me it is..

NOow lets see, why would i got everyday to bh69/79 on my 80s spending 30k wines plus 30k stone teles and about 10k on npc teles everyday when i can just get 400k or so on hypers and lvl 5 times in a flash???

lets see the math one day of bhs is about 90k = one hyper

I need about what 5 days on bh to get one lvl thats 90 * 5 450k

With 400k hypers i get about 5 lvls (using it wisely at 80s) Profit...

The problem is there no barbs to tank, ppl dont know how frost works , ofc bad gear and so on but even with those problems its duable...

I think ppl just need to have patience and realize that they once were noobs too.

I rember once on a fc on my sin i had to explain everything to a barb in squad cause it was his first time on fc, took about 3 hours or more but the guy learned and we did it...

I don't have any alts, but I can tell you 40M Exp a day is very plausible with the correct set up (soloing).

For about 4 minutes of hyper and 1 activation, you can get about 4M exp if you just aoe pull all mobs in big room and dragons in last room in one big sweep. It's the one thing BMs have over sins in PVE... AoEs. b:surrender

I've done this.
More so because I've been in the game for almost 2 years, and I'm on multiple 'higher' lvl chars now. I just don't want to do the 70's/80's again.
That being said, this kind of power-leveling is broken. I can do this and pass exp orbs from bh100 thru stash to alts as well. Its like Must said, why would I pay for the bh wines, tele fees, etc...when I can do these things cheaper and in less time for my alts. Especially when I've taken the time and done every quest in the game on other chars multiple times already.
