Old and inactive factions.

So i wanted to create a new faction but the name was already taken, i searched in CORE connect and i found the faction with the name i wanted, and i found that this faction had been inactive for a long time, had just 6 members low lvls and there was no leader.
My question is, Factions expire when they are not active? or it will be there forever?

    Faction names do not expire just as character names cant be used once someone else uses it. If you want that name, you may want to add x's or other characters, or think of a new name.

    There is another way to get faction you want to give you leader status from current leader, core connect guilds is not accurate if u need to know who is leader is moderated separably

    Ya, I was also going to suggest this.... maybe try contacting the leader of this faction and ask for leadership if the rest of the players are no longer active. You just might get yourself a free faction if no one wants it.
