Noob ? bout Catshops

i see ppl buying and selling the same item at same time at a catshop, how do i do it, when i tried i cud only either buy or sell, as soon as i clicked my item to move to other slot the catshop closed, ty.

    You can split a stack of items by holding Alt and left-click-dragging the item. That asks you how many you want to split.

    Then you can sell the big stack, and use the small stack (even a single item of it will do) to buy.

    Now, a better question would be to ask: Why do you have to already have one of an item to be able to offer to buy it? But that's the way it is.
