saving the wizard

while pouring over the forums and thinking about my second favorite class the wizard i had an idea for saving them i would like to discuss.

how about for the wizard class every point of magic would increase their magic attack by an additional 0.1%, or 0.05%.
that way by the time they have 100 magic they will be doing either an additional 10% or 5% more damage, and by the time they have 300 magic they will do an additional 30% or 15% more magical damage therefore giving them the clear position of the most powerful magic damage dealer in the game.
