    perhaps most psychics of any real value realise their place in the game and before they chose psychic actually researched it. similarly they probably are taking the time to read the news on the new classes or even play them over on the chinese version, instead of relying on rash judgement and outright disinformation.

    indeed the whole "is x going to replace y" phenomenon is just a repeat of the tideborn release. Sins are going to replace BMs.. well they didn't, in fact the drive to high aps/fist use that began shortly after the tideborn release has actually revitalised the BM as a class (even though they are all running around fisting everything in sight instead of using all their weapons). Psychics were going to replace wizzies/clerics and perhaps have slipped in alongside wizzies in terms of DDs for instances, but clerics so far are still needed.

    each new class will find it's niche. some classes will always be more popular than others.no point QQing over it, might as well QQ that one country gets more sunshine than yours does.

    Would you like to count how many THOUSANDS more Assassins there are than BM's?
    Would you like me to compare how many BM's were here before then?
    Please. The only reason why there are still BM's in this game is simply because of the APS craze....just like the only reason why Assassins are spammed every two seconds is simply because of the stealth/APS combo.

    And they have replaced Wizards. Exactly how many of those do you see running around anymore? In Harshlands? You can count them on your fingers, literally.

    Mystics won't replace us. They MAY replace Venomancer/Clerics (in rare cases, though I'm skeptical.)

    How on earth would we get replaced?

    We're perhaps the most unique class thusfar, and thus we'd be the LAST class to get replaced. We can reflect attacks, we have soulforce and soulburn, and we're the fastest casters.
    Closest I've heard to the new classes stealing any of that is that they can "reflect" ailments. However, they're supposed to reflect in a completely different way. Instead of automatically reflecting the ailment when it's cast against us, they can transfer an ailment to an enemy once the ailment is on themselves first. Useful for something like a channeling speed debuff or immobilize, absolutely useless for stun, sleep and silence.


    I welcome the Earthguard; everyone will start making them like crazy and Psychic will be the forgotten class. The less people playing us, the more idiots we have stunning themselves on our reflect and killing themselves via soulburn.

    btw i'm not saying that we should worry or w/e; I just see threads from clerics, bms, sins, venos, wizards qq'ing about the new classes (not sure about archers) while the psy subforum stays clear (u should really go check the wiz xd)


    any reasons?

    I agree with Longknife. And generally, other classes' forums are filled with total noobs who start drama and paranoia for no reason. We have Yulk, but no one reads his posts anyway.

    Wizards always QQ on forums. Trust me. I would know. Should have seen the flood of posts during the initial days of the TB expansion.

    The only one that could even come anywhere near replacing us would be Seekers, since they seem like another AoE spam class like us, but that's about where the similarities end. And since they're melee and use swords, I'm sure they won't do anywhere near the AoE DPS that we do. It would be a nice AoE grinding combo though, Seeker and Psychic. o.o

    b:laugh well as noob i cant have a clear opinion about everything :) but i do play RPG since Gateway To Aphsai on the C64 b:laugh I tried all classes upto lvl15 (lol) but i ->>>LOVE<<<-- Psychic i will keep leveling it and try it out and when i get stuck cause of noobieness i just start over :) love the fast casting and the agg/def buffs (i know wrong game)

    This is true and quite rational. Too bad I bumped into it on the Psychic forum.

    Before you start downplaying the serious concerns of the wizards who still play the class as their main you should ask yourself why you yourself play a psychic now instead of one of the 2 100+ wizards you already have if the class is that awesome and the game balance is so perfect.

    Personally i dont think that the mystic will replace the cleric because a cleric has more to offer than only the res skill the buffs or BB or RB make the cleric still the No1 healer. The psychic wont be replaced neither by the mystic because the character itself is more veno than range magic DD. The only replacement which might occur will be the seeker over the wiz or psy in a RB.
