Turn off the RED chat!!

it is one thing to have constant pack sales. it is another to force players to be spammed with the red chat without a way to turn it off. it is just as bad as the horn spam.

seriously it does effect the game play. whispers, party, and guild chat are hard to follow. instances such as frost and nirvanna are hard to tell the difference from boss and spam.

it was cool back in the day to see who got a herc or a veno. but you disabled that and left of with the useless every 3 seconds of who got a Best Luck. please turn it off. thanks.

The red Duke shout is a part of selling "strategy", people see others getting good stuff (they only don`t know how many packs they opened might be 1 or might be even 100 to get 1 decent prize) and so others also decide to try their luck, I`m damn sure people would buy less packs if Duke wouldn`t announce the winners!

what makes you think i am not opening packs? i guess the same thing that makes me think you have no friends trying to talk to you that the red chat interrupts. *shrugs*

selling strat or not, it is annoying. they could at least take out the **** things like Best Luck.

    ^-- This is it,

Advertising;s main strenght is repetition, keep slamming something at some1 and they will look into it at some point.

This is the entire idea behind the duke shouts. PWE does not care that people get pissed about it, as long as it triggers people into trying their luck as well.

Same is the bidding hall thing, by announcing the players name + amount payed, they can see who is spending what for something. It also triggers more people to try it out.

Secondary function is market research. With the sales they can see the average price people are willing to pay, and in time, adjust their gold prices in the btq, up or down, doesn;t matter, but it will yield into more sales thus revenue for them.

Its not that hard 2 figure out.

So @ the OP, Red shout will never go away again, they make 2 much money because of that red shout.

I remember when players first started complaining about this... Then people started complaining because Duke got gagged and we didn't have announcements about wraith attacks and the such... Then they took his mute button off and now people complain again.

Normally I just ignore the red chat....but there is ONE situation where it peeves me off to no end.

When I put in a WC...using one of my special Segomo Telecoustics which....by the way, are NOT easy to make...and watch as it's quickly brushed off the screen into the limbo of scrolling by 5 paragraphs of Red Chat dealing with the event + packs + Duke vomited because he tried to eat that sub sandwich without taking a breath....oh + Event Boutique.

I'm not saying it's bad....just....maybe if they could be spaced out a little more so the hard work I put into trying to be creative with my language doesn't get cast asunder into a sea of perpetual non-reading.

b:sin We've all decided the GMs who hover in Dreamweaver probably are already poised to stab me repeatedly the next time I get out of line with my World Chats. Little do they know the 4th Act of Royally Screwed WILL go on without a hitch...

Don't silence the Duke, kill 'em. If you could attack in arch I would spend all day hitting him.
