Questions regarding materials ^^

Hi ^.^. I have a question about a few materials I've collected that at the bottom say they are for dragon quest. I know nothing about a dragon quest besides the npc standing at the starting area said I wasn't high enough to even begin the quest.
My question is do I just sell all those to npc's or put them on auction. I've got about 178 soft furs, over 100 antenna's. A bunch of mystical meats, rhino horns, disguise skins. They're sitting in my bank as I don't know what to do with them. I've upgraded my safe slots with a quest the banker gave me. That was nice. More room ^^.
What do you all do with the dragon quest materials you happen to pick up off of moblies. If I can make good coin off of them I'll sell them. If not I'll make another toon and use her for storing stuff. Thankies b:cute.

well, you're level 21, you should be high enough to start the DQs if you really want to... but most folks seem to agree they're not worth the trouble. most people seem to sell the DQ materials to NPCs for the in-game coin and dragon points. that's what i do, anyway.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0

The Dragon Quests themselves are a set of repeatable quests that unlocks every 10 levels starting at level 20. These quests require you to travel the map and talk to various NPC's. Some NPC's will require that you bring them a certain number of DQ items, the exact item varying from quest to quest. You may also be required to kill x amount of mobs, pay a small fee, or kill an elite mob to move on in the chain. Rewards for completing the chain include the standard xp and spirit as well as a dragon order and the oportunity to take the quest again. Woohoo!
The various quests and details can be found here: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/npc/11157
Items that you can get from dragon orders can be found here: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/npc/11209 (Not the best list, but it'll give you something to go off of.)
Back when I first started playing, it was somewhat common to do Dragon Quests. These days, hardly anyone does them. As with pretty much every quest in this game, it's up to you whether you want to do them or not.
The rewards can look appealing, but if you're looking at it from an economic pov, it may be cheaper and faster to grind and merch and buy the orders from other players, but again it's up to you. I've done it just for the satisfaction of earning the reward in and of itself. But do take note that most of the rewards require heaps of DQ Orders, so don't expect a quick turn around.
Personally, I use Dragon Quests as a grinding mechanism. I pick a DQ at or slightly above the range of a pet I want to level and then work on levelling the pet on the mobs required for the quest or the mobs with the best drop rates for the items I need (pwdatabase will be your friend for this). It's not the most efficient way to level your pets, but I like the break in the monotony and the change in the scenery.

So what to do with all those Dragon Quest items you have.
1. Complete a DQ quest! Get stuff! Level pets!
2. Sell them to NPC's. Collect some cold hard coin and rack up some Dragon Points without cluttering your inventory.
3. Sell them to players. Either create your own catshop or sell to existing catshops. Since DP have been implemented, the market for DQ items has gone up. Lower level DQ items are also popular for bank extension quests and usually sell well. There are also a few regular quests that require some DQ items (most noticably Dull Claws, Element Essences, and Element Fragments)
