DragonHunt's worth it?

OK, so I have a few lunar weapon sigs sitting in my bank. So, i'm wondering if its worth it to use one for DragonHunt's? Currently using Calloused Lionheart Hatchets +4 with 2 perfect ambers in it. I also have Ashura's waiting for me at 100. And while I do FC, i'm not addict to it and prefer to have all 99 Gear before I hit 100. So suggestions and/or opinions are welcomeb:thanksb:pleased

In my opinion, its not all that great unless you have plans to use Nirvana on it, but since you said you have TT100 poleaxe waiting at 100, you can just Nirvana that for cheaper too, in terms of G15.

My guess is to just stay with your TT100 and TT90 weapons.

Dragonhunts have a bad resell rate, at least here on HT it does.

Save the Insignias for claws in case you make a BM or even wait for the expansion if they are adding new weapons.

I agree with Knownase. Perhaps if you didn't have Ashura's waiting for you it wouldn't be a bad choice since DragonHunt's is a really decent tanking weapon, but:
    1. You're going to use it for only 5 lvls
    2. Ashura's is closer to g15 Nirvana so there is no point really in turning DragonHunt's into Nirvana
    3. I've seen like 2 people with DragonHunt's on RT (guess there is more, but still not many), so the resell rate will be just as bad as on HT.

I'd say stick with TT90 until you can equip Ashura's and sell the spare insignia to refine TT100.

The DragonHunt axe in and of itself is not worth it. Other than some more HP, the only thing it gives you is Range +2. Not exactly the most helpful stat on a weapon.

It would seem to Fuzzy thou, if you want to follow the DragonHunt progression path to the Descaler and then on to the Unicorn's Tragedy it would indeed be well worth it. By collecting the 250 raptures needed you end up with a beautiful G15 weapon that, along with the rest of the G15 Nirvana's has a chance for Sac Strike, God of Frenzy, Attack Level +20 etc.

If you already have the Ashura's waiting (which is an excellent axe) the panda would suggest it actually is worth thinking about making the DragonHunt. Not to use, and not to resell, but only to hold onto and build until you get it to the Unicorn stage.

With the Ashura, it is going to take 20 less raptures to forge it into a Wheel of Warfog which Fuzzy assumes would be the end stage weapon you are looking at. Well, considering you are going to be using the Ashura the whole time to gather the raptures, why not run an extra 20 Nirvana's and in the end, reforge the DragonHunt instead of the Ashura. You will end up with an excellent G15 Nirvana weapon, and not just that, but you will most likely end up with a unique one. Just as with the Nirvana Windpour claws or the Wheel of Warfog axes, or any Rank weapon, every fool and their mother will be running around with them. Very few, if any, will have the Unicorn's Tragedy.

    ....just Fuzzy's two cents.

the 2 parts in bold were my main reasoning for debating about just making it and have it sitting in the bank til I have all the raptures. And I enjoying farming so its not like 20 extra runs would be something I wouldn't do. Already seen someone in RT with Warfog's but no one with Unicorn's Tragedy b:dirty.

I'd prefer to be be unique then just like everyone else b:pleased

Would still like to see others opinion on the subject though

I have Ashura's waiting for me also. They just seemed the best choice to me, and i decided i'd go for it. If you really don't mind doing the extra runs, i say go for Unicorn's tragedy. You will have a unique weapon, you can have some choice on which you like better, and if you decide that you want to make an axe bm or w/e you already have them set up with a really nice weapon.

The Unicorn's Tragedy is highly worth it. I rather using those than the rank weapon, and I have only seen one barb use them and the damage out put was sweet.

*note* by rank I mean rank 8 you get r9 then your straight. b:shocked

20 raptures is more than 20 runs, 20 raptures is more like 50-60 runs

Fuzzy would argue that entirely depends upon the squad you farm with. A rapture may not drop on each and every single run, however, if it takes 60 runs to get 20, the only reason would be the people you farm with were unwilling to let you have em.

If thats the case, maybe its time to find a new team to farm with? b:lipcurl
